Ready for later! :)

We don't know Triggle. I'm sure we'll hear as Tidy comes across those who went and various FB pics that mutual friends post.

Blueandwhitelover · 24/08/2013 20:01

ooh just realised my teacher went to a wedding today and his wife had to go up early to help with decorating.
Will have to stalk his pictures that he will hopefully post to see if there is a theme!

TidyDancer · 24/08/2013 20:01

I don't know as yet who did the decorating. She was leaving it epically late so who knows!

I know with time and space on this that I will feel relieved. My logical mind understands I am much better off without her as a friend, it's just because it's right in my face today.

Thank you all again for being so nice today (and before!). It's meant a lot to have your support. Flowers :)

does the groom like cycling???

daisychain01 · 24/08/2013 20:08

Dreaming ... well, me and my DP went out in the garden this morning and did a raindance, just to make sure!

Tidy, bit of a sad day - the main thing is, we haven't lost your friendship!

TidyDancer · 24/08/2013 20:23

Blueandwhitelover - not that I'm aware of.

Thank you for the rain, Daisychain!

We're very close to the Herts/Beds border and its been a very wet day, definitely not good for weddings! Karma and all that.

CoffeeOne · 24/08/2013 21:00

I'm sorry you're feeling sad, I would too. Just think though, once the honeymoon period is over she's going to look back on this and just cringe. She's lost friends over a party that right now seems like the most important thing in the world, and in a couple of months she'll come crashing down to earth.

eatriskier · 24/08/2013 21:02

(((hugs))) tidy
Sorry you are feeling unhappy. Its completely understandable. But picture her crying going 'why won't anyone change the weather for me... MEEEE?'

funnymummy2931 · 24/08/2013 21:38

Tidy, watched your thread and you are truly an amazing person. Glad you have been ok today. Smile
I really wouldn't put it past Glue-bride to think everything was back to normal at some point and try to rekindle the friendship you once had!

Beastofburden · 24/08/2013 21:44

Hugs tidy!

TidyDancer · 24/08/2013 22:26

Couple of photos popped up on Facebook. Gluezilla's wedding breakfast featured a raised platform ala the Beckham wedding. The gluey twosome obviously didn't want to eat avec the minions. Grin

Reception venue has shown no signs of special decoration, so either she didn't get anyone to do it, or that has been kept for the evening part, of which I haven't seen photos yet.

I sound like a broken record, but honestly I am grateful for you all today. :) Flowers

You deserve all the love and care on here, TidyDancer, because you are a truly nice person who did not deserve to be treated so badly by a friend.

I've followed this since the start. Thinking of you Tidy, I know how you feel as I had one of my best friends shit on me for no reason earlier this year. It;s as if these self absorbed people live / come from another planet.
F & my friend C would get on very well I fear.

Take care of yourself.

Raised platform is hilarious! Did they have 'thrones' as well?

AlpacaPicnic · 25/08/2013 00:08

Ewwwww, I'd hate to eat a meal on a raised platform like some kind of entertainer. I hate being looked at while I'm eating anyway but that just makes me cringe...

Although the comment about 'eating with the minions' made me think of Despicable me - which makes me smile :)

NoisyBrain · 25/08/2013 00:11

I've followed this from the start, amazed at the sheer hide of Gluezilla.

I have only now delurked to say I live just a couple of miles from the Herts/Beds border and am burning with curiosity as to exactly where this wedding was! It would definitely have been a rather soggy affair...

Given how self absorbed she has been over all of this, I imagine she subscribes to the "pathetic fallacy" (weather reflecting human events), so she's just furious that the heavens are sad, yet "she has no reason to be, and nor has anyone else [sic]."
Sorry you have felt low despite everyone's efforts (including your own!)

RenterNomad · 25/08/2013 01:13

Nice one, Antlers! Grin

flummoxedlummox · 25/08/2013 02:09

Tidy, I've followed this saga from thread, you been amazing throughout, the model of restraint in the face of extreme provocation. And virtually everyone here has virtually got your back mate. Hope you feel better tomorrow/today.

GingerBlondecat · 25/08/2013 03:27

TD, you are Lovely and I bet there were a lot of questions from your other friends.. why isn't TD here?

Wait till they hear about the 'Decorating' debacle.

Thumbwitch · 25/08/2013 09:02

I expect that there are no decs because she'd used all the glue up beforehand... Grin

Tidy, you are so much better off without this person in your life. I know it's hard to be left out of a party, but in this case you'd have a bit of a nasty taste in your mouth anyway, when you saw who else didn't make the cut as well, I'm sure.

Now you know some of the guests who were invited, you can get the lowdown from them as to what occurred... [nopressure]
