If I were an agony aunt I'd advise her to cut her losses.

Frank Lampard always has an excuse to not marry any of his women folk.

I would assume that if you are getting married in June, and it's now April, that you have venue, caterers, planners booked. The dress is ordered the suits are pressed, the flowers being specially grown.

The excuse that Frank is at the end of his contract and doesn't know where he will be playing next season (and lets face it, football ends in May, new season starts in August) there is no viable reason why you can't have a June wedding.

Christine, he's never going to marry you. You are too old to be hanging round hoping. So if you want a family, best you move on.

Can you believe everything you read in the papers?

I feel sorry that their engagement has been so over scrutinised

mrsscoob · 14/04/2013 09:05

Lets hope she reads mumsnet then

HollyBerryBush · 14/04/2013 09:06

suspends thread<

She should know that he's a selfish man look at the way he treated the mother of his children

AThingInYourLife · 14/04/2013 09:07

YANBU

I never thought that wedding would happen.

The excuses are so flimsy.

"They have no choice but to cancel because this extremely rich man isn't sure where he'll be working in a few months."

Hmm
HollyBerryBush · 14/04/2013 09:09

Yup - I can see that as an excuse to put off buying a house, but put off getting married? If he wanted to marry her, he would have by now.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 14/04/2013 09:11

Why do you even care?

cerealqueen · 14/04/2013 09:11

There must be more to it as that is a very flimsy excuse.

HollyBerryBush · 14/04/2013 09:15

Why do I care? because he has incredibly nice nipples when his shirt sticks to his chest and I'd like to investigate them a little further Grin

Chipstick10 · 14/04/2013 09:18

He treats women pretty shabbily IMO.

AThingInYourLife · 14/04/2013 09:19

Looks like those nips are fair game for the foreseeable :o

blondieminx · 14/04/2013 09:20

I could see why they wouldn't want to buy a house not knowing where he might play... But being married won't affect their location Confused

He has been engaged before and the woman had kids with him - then he wandered. He comes across as an entitled, spoilt player and Christine will have a lucky escape IMHO if she breaks up with him.

AThingInYourLife · 14/04/2013 09:21

I'm interested because Christine and I used to be the same age Wink

KathySeldon · 14/04/2013 09:22

A friend of dh had an 'incident' with Frank Lampard and one of his friends - horrid horrid nasty people.

Bleakly should run a mile as fast as she can.

HollyBerryBush · 14/04/2013 09:25

Yeah, he has form for appearing in the tabloids after binges. Wasn't also involved in a sex tape scandal that aired on C4?

OP posts:
armagh · 14/04/2013 09:25

Absolutely none of my business ( but i will comment anyway Grin) Why should he not knowing where he will be working affect whether they get married or not. Surely hotel etc was already booked? Dress bought?

HeySoulSister · 14/04/2013 09:25

Have they called it off then?

AKissIsNotAContract · 14/04/2013 09:27

According to the mirror it's off. Seems like a shabby excuse, it's hardly as if they won't be able to afford it until he gets another contract.

All is not lost though. Kerry Katona has just got engaged so we will get a sleb wedding. Grin

TSSDNCOP · 14/04/2013 09:34

If we all join hands and wish really, really hard maybe he'll transfer to LA Galaxy and we won't hear from either of them again.

Ready?

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 09:35
AKissIsNotAContract · 14/04/2013 09:36

sinister that's an urban myth, same thing was said about David Beckham.

TSSDNCOP · 14/04/2013 09:36

Sparkling it is a day of the week with a "y" in it, of course Kerry Katona s agent has told her to is getting engaged.

AThingInYourLife · 14/04/2013 09:36

TS - that didn't work so well last time :o
