If I were an agony aunt I'd advise her to cut her losses.

Frank Lampard always has an excuse to not marry any of his women folk.

I would assume that if you are getting married in June, and it's now April, that you have venue, caterers, planners booked. The dress is ordered the suits are pressed, the flowers being specially grown.

The excuse that Frank is at the end of his contract and doesn't know where he will be playing next season (and lets face it, football ends in May, new season starts in August) there is no viable reason why you can't have a June wedding.

Christine, he's never going to marry you. You are too old to be hanging round hoping. So if you want a family, best you move on.

If I only discussed my own business on here I would bore everyone witless. I'm always suspicious of long engagements when both parties are of an age to marry. If I were ever to marry I would want an engagement to last only as long as it took to organise a wedding so no longer than 6months to a year max.

FreedomOfTheTess · 14/04/2013 17:17

I seem to recall he did the exact same thing with Elen Rives, their wedding kept getting put off, and of course never happened.

BellyChancer · 14/04/2013 17:19

I hadn't heard that he'd postponed the wedding.

Well, if he's not ready blah blah blah, she should definitely cut her losses. I know she's been slagged on here a lot but come on like, seriously, compared the vast majority of women she's successful, has a few bob in the bank, she's attractive, she's NOT stupid enough to delude herself that years wasted in your thirties can impact upon the rest of a woman's life......... hope she dumps him and hooks up with somebody a bit more down to earth, somebody a bit less of a 'ken'.

kennyp · 14/04/2013 17:20

He did the same thing with me too Sad. Except i called it off as i was fed up with him using my jumpers for goalposts.

BellyChancer · 14/04/2013 17:21

Elén Rives well off out of it. She is absolutely beautiful, not left short, she has two gorgeous girls and she can afford to go out dating, but seems a bit bitter. I don't think somebody as beautiful as that is bitter for no reason. The reason is clearly called Frank

BellyChancer · 14/04/2013 17:22

ha ha kennyp

Wishfulmakeupping · 14/04/2013 17:24

Agree bellychancer I think Elen is stunning

Sunnymeg · 14/04/2013 17:26

I know a couple who had the huge wedding booked and
planned for the following year, then his company decided to relocate abroad. The groom was given the choice of moving to Portugal with work or being made redundant. The big fat wedding was cancelled and they got married in a smaller and cheaper fashion about six weeks later. They spent their 'honeymoon' in Portugal looking for somewhere to live.

If an ordinary couple can adjust to circumstances then I am sure Frank and Christine could if they wanted to.

WhyIRayLiotta · 14/04/2013 17:39

Christine has also spoken about how having children is the most important thing in her life - but that she would have to be married before she would have them.

I think she needs to run run run.

What age is she anyway? I think 34 (as the article says) is a little shy of the mark...

BellyChancer · 14/04/2013 17:54

If she wants children more than she wants to hang around waiting for frank then I hope she moves on. 34 is still young enough. If she wastes another few years waiting for him it could be touch and go.

Also, does she want to squeeze in one child or have a few? If I were her now, I'd bail. if having children really is paramount to her. He already has kids, it's no wonder he's not in a rush.

LadyBeagleEyes · 14/04/2013 18:30

Aw silly Kerry, I feel quite maternal to her as well.
She needs to stay away from all relationships for a while I think.

difficultpickle · 14/04/2013 18:34

Is she only 34? I would have looked at her and thought she was 38/39. If she 34 then she has time to cut her losses and find someone else if she wants children.

BOF · 14/04/2013 18:50

No, she's definitely only 34, luckily for her chances. I think she used to lop a bit off, but the papers outed her birth certificate, which seems a bit harsh. Cut-throat world is telly. She possibly looks slightly older because she stays so thin.

AThingInYourLife · 14/04/2013 18:53

We used to be the same age. Now I'm 37.

I guess when you become a celebrity time slows down.

Sailormercury · 14/04/2013 18:58

Maybe she's a timelord, Athinginyourlife Grin

woopsidaisy · 14/04/2013 19:02

She went to school up the road and was below my friend . 34 is right.
I like her. Was so disappointed when she got with a footballer...

BOF · 14/04/2013 19:22

Yes, presumably she is a fairly bright woman- I'm not sure what she sees in an emotionally-stunted thicko like Lampard. It's not like she was short of a few bob herself.

I agree he's emotionally stunted but I dont think he's "thick".

Everything I've read says he has a very high IQ.

difficultpickle · 14/04/2013 20:30

He managed to get 11 GCSEs though and apparently has a very high IQ. Being intelligent doesn't make you articulate but does mean that you can't be classed as 'thick'.

BOF · 14/04/2013 20:34

My apologies, Frank, if you're reading this. Don't be a dick all your life.

Like I said - being intelligent doesn't make you articulate.
