If I were an agony aunt I'd advise her to cut her losses.

Frank Lampard always has an excuse to not marry any of his women folk.

I would assume that if you are getting married in June, and it's now April, that you have venue, caterers, planners booked. The dress is ordered the suits are pressed, the flowers being specially grown.

The excuse that Frank is at the end of his contract and doesn't know where he will be playing next season (and lets face it, football ends in May, new season starts in August) there is no viable reason why you can't have a June wedding.

Christine, he's never going to marry you. You are too old to be hanging round hoping. So if you want a family, best you move on.

Tate and Chiles. Smile

Gerrof · 15/04/2013 19:04

I like her, she is a good looking woman with a decent telly career and he is a 'd'you know what I mean' with a funny shaped mouth. Bin, christine, bin.

DilysPrice · 15/04/2013 19:09

Christine, listen to your Auntie Dilys. You need to give up on straight men for a while and have a lovely little baby with that nice Mark Foster. [her GBFF]. Now that's what I'd call a happy ending.

TheCraicDealer · 15/04/2013 19:45

They were supposed to have Galgorm in Ballymena (hey) booked, after buying off a couple who'd booked that date. My boss' wife worked with her when she was a lowly researcher in BBCNI, apparently she was lovely. They met her again when they were at another colleague's wedding this summer and apparently she was (again) lovely and very courteous.

This was backed up by an ex colleague who went to uni with her and clearly fancied her said she was great craic.

Anyway, she needs to give him an ultimatum. And then LTB.

I think you'll find he's happily holidaying with that nice Colin Jackson chap. Or so I heard

Indeed. I don't think Christine would be Mark Foster's type somehow.

thelongandwindingroad · 15/04/2013 20:00

thecraicdealer would that be the same Ballymena with the great big shopping centre (hey)?

Lizzylou · 15/04/2013 20:02

I always feel sorry for CB, don't know why she gets so much flack. Am glad that she is nice in rl TheCraic.
My MIL fancies old dodgy mouth Frank.

Isn't Mark Foster gay?

VelvetSpoon · 15/04/2013 20:30

I don't think he will marry CB. I suspect she will hang on though for another 2-3 years in the hope he might, but she's a mug if she does (assuming she wants children of course and is waiting until after they are married...). I think you can tell a lot about a man by how they treat their ex/ mother of their DC. I'd have cut my losses a long time ago if I was her.

YoniSingWhenYoureWinning · 15/04/2013 20:40

Frank is a playa and he was never going to marry her.

Silly Christine should have learnt from his last relationship instead of just sneering at his ex. He messed her around too. There's prob some new tart in the wings.

RedPencils · 15/04/2013 20:46

SHe's more chance of getting mark Foster to marry her.

VelvetSpoon · 15/04/2013 20:48

Am I the only person in England who didn't know Mark Foster was batting for the other team? no gaydar whatsoever

Thisisaeuphemism · 15/04/2013 20:49

I'm in shock too! Are they sure?

squoosh · 15/04/2013 21:12

Mark Foster is definitely gay. Think he could do better than Colin Jackson though! (no offence Col)

amandine07 · 15/04/2013 21:34

OP I think you speak sense!

They've been engaged nearly 2 years- they collectively have the means to fund a lavish wedding. It's not as if they're you're average young couple, trying to afford a mortgage for an overpriced shoebox in a city like London.

Something doesn't really add up. If I were CB I'd be thinking of my ovaries & getting ready to run out the door.
It's not as if she can just 'wait & see'- all she needs to do us look at ER, she had his 2 kids and had a sparkly ring, but they never married despite all that.

DilysPrice · 16/04/2013 07:18

Yes of course I know CB is not necessarily MF's type in "that way", but they are (or were) bessie mates, he's fabulously good looking, and he's not a footballer. Perfect solution to the biological clock problem I'd have thought.

Badvoc · 16/04/2013 07:23

She st needs to look at howmhemtreated his ex.

AphraBehn · 16/04/2013 07:55

Mark Foster's dad lives round the corner to me. Shall I have a word?

DilysPrice · 16/04/2013 08:09

Excellent work Aphra. I'm sure he's concerned about the grandchildren situation. Does he look like he knows his way around a packet of Werthers Originals?

We should totally sort out the love-lives of all the UK's slebs (or just give them a motherly cup of tea and plate of steak and kidney pie in the case of Kerry Katona). I was shouting at Victoria Coren that she should just marry that nice David Mitchell for years.

DilysPrice · 16/04/2013 08:12

....through the telly, you understand, not standing outside her house with a megaphone.

AphraBehn · 16/04/2013 09:55

He looks very grandfatherly but doesn't cut his front hedge very often.

There is much excitement round our way when Mark comes round for Sunday lunch.

FreudiansSlipper · 16/04/2013 10:00

lucky lucky Colin

Tate and Chiles now they do seem well matched
