Just want someone to hold my hand. Sat in hospital awaiting blood results of my newborn,,, suspected sepsis. Feel very alone right now.

My husband is here, but we deal with things very differently. He's shut down, whereas I want to talk. So scared my baby is going to die

Talk away here. Is this your first baby? A boy or girl?

Crossandratty · 18/10/2012 02:09

Second, a beautiful girl. Three weeks old. Just not been herself at all today, now very floppy and has slept 24hrs straight and won't feed.

So worrying Sad thinking of you!

BillComptonstrousers · 18/10/2012 02:41

I'm so sorry you're going through this, the exact same thing happened to my 3 week old baby in 2004, it was so scary. She was on hospital for two weeks. She just turned 8 on Tuesday,so positive thinking, it's so hard in the middle of the night though :-(

wishiwasonholiday · 18/10/2012 02:43

Good luck, hope the results hurry and they get the right treatment started quick.

Haemadoots · 18/10/2012 02:44

Another hand here :(

JasperStreet · 18/10/2012 02:47

I've been in your situation and it worked out fine. In our case they forgot to tell us the results (which were clear) so chase it up if you can.

AmethystMoon · 18/10/2012 02:51

Thinking of you and your little girl. Sending big hugs and positive healing vibes to you both. X
