We have lots of babies with sepsis admitted every day. With some IV antibiotics paracetamol and tlc they soon get back to their normal selves xxx

almapudden · 18/10/2012 10:56

I really hope all is well, OP.

chipmonkey · 18/10/2012 13:28

hoping and praying that your little girl is improving xx

Crossandratty · 18/10/2012 16:29

Thank you for all the good wishes. She does have an infection and we're awaiting test results to know exactly what - they've started antibios anyway. Also had a lumbar puncture to check its not spreading and waiting to hear from that as well.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 18/10/2012 16:34

OP hoping the antibiotics help and she picks up soon

NellyBluth · 18/10/2012 16:49

Oh, cross, poor all of you, its horrible, big un-Mumsnetty hugs.

DD had a serious infection when she was born, she was rushed off for the lumbar puncture, pumped full of antibiotics and kept in NICU/SCBU for the better part of a week. Its scary and horrible seeing your tiny baby with all the wires and tubes and blood test. But she is absolutely fine now, in fact she was absolutely fine from being discharged, you'd never know she had been so poorly.

I'm sure your DD will be fine, just wanted to share a good outcome with you. All the best for your DD and all your family xx

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 18/10/2012 16:57

I hope your DD makes a speedy recovery. Thinking of you both Thanks

youarewinning · 18/10/2012 18:43

Hope DD gets well soon. Look after yourself too.

chocolateistheenemy · 18/10/2012 18:50

You will find strength you never knew you had...
Wishing for DDs speedy recovery. Remember to eat and drink yourself. It's easy to forget. When DS was hospitalized I was force fed toast by a kind nurse.
Keep us posted. We're here for you x

Primafacie · 18/10/2012 18:51

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. DS also had a lumbar puncture and various issues when he was very little. He is all fine now. It was so worrying at the time though, I really feel for you.

TidyGOLDDancer · 18/10/2012 18:52
