out of the people i know, the working class ones have spotless homes.

the middleclass ones seem alot more messier and nowhere near as spick and span.
they also tend to dress their children in odd socks etc.

anyone else noticed this?

In order to notice it I'd first have to care. And I don't. YABU and frightfully judgemental.

MilitaryWag · 09/05/2012 17:47

Are you for fucking real? Shock

Midge25 · 09/05/2012 17:47

Have my first ever Biscuit

PorkyandBess · 09/05/2012 17:48

Yes, and their steps are always scrubbed to a shine.

Hmm
BumpingFuglies · 09/05/2012 17:49

Sarsaparilllla · 09/05/2012 17:49

Hehe, love it Grin

I once knew an upper class person who cleaned their bathroom with a toothbrush every morning

ExpatAl · 09/05/2012 17:50

You confirm what I've always suspected. You can't get any posher than me.

2shoes · 09/05/2012 17:50

Housewifefromheaven · 09/05/2012 17:50

My very first Biscuit

BumpingFuglies · 09/05/2012 17:51

Aren't you a lucky dovebird then? What's your house like?

OneHandFlapping · 09/05/2012 17:51

I must be practically aristocracy then! Who knew!

AgentZigzag · 09/05/2012 17:51

I scrub my DDs faces with caustic soda every morning to get that gleaming look everyone envies.

What class does that make me?

ShellyBobbs · 09/05/2012 17:51

Lol Grin

CremeEggThief · 09/05/2012 17:51

So how clean is your house then? Which category does it fall into? :0

HillyWallaby · 09/05/2012 17:52

You are correct. In general. Are we still allowed to stereotype and generalise about the classes or is it illegal yet?

dovebird · 09/05/2012 17:52

its pretty clean, but not as spotless as alot of peoples i know.

OP posts:
Movingmay · 09/05/2012 17:52

I dunno. Confused

HillyWallaby · 09/05/2012 17:53

I think you are only talking about a certain section of the middle classes thoug - those towards the top, generally. Most LMC people are clean freaks like WC people.

storminabuttercup · 09/05/2012 17:53

We are very quaint. Dear little working class people with our spotless houses. Bless us Hmm

Cluffyfunt · 09/05/2012 17:53

I'm messy too op.
Does that make me superior middle class too?
We all wear odd socks too.
Do I get points for not ironing ever enough? Wink

PandaWatch · 09/05/2012 17:53

"they also tend to dress their children in odd socks etc"

Grin
MilitaryWag · 09/05/2012 17:54

Classes are/were, as far as I know based on occupation. That means Zara Philips is working class! Grin
