To think Ben and Jerry's ice-cream is crap

I love ice-cream, we've always been good friends, hardly ever fallen out. We go through periods of losing touch but always get back together in the end. But I just have no love for Ben and Jerry's, any of their varieties. There's always too much going on. There'll be caramel, chocolate bits, marshmallows, brownie bits and God knows what else, plus it's too sweet. Their pudding is well and truly over egged.

For me there's little that can compare with a soothing scoop of Haagen Dazs strawberry cheesecake although my keen eye did spot that they've a new mint choc variety out. I'm saving up that encounter till I'm most in need of an ice cream fix.

Having said that, I really recommend the mint choc haagen dazs. Tis wonderful. Especially when served with choc mint cake.

YABalittlebitU, because Coconutterly Fair and Half Baked are nice. The rest can feck off though. My current favourite is chocolate caramel praline Haagen Dazs.

i only eat the cookie dough b&j's because i don't like the huge lumps of stuff and the cookie dough is the easiest to manage.

Haagen Dazs is horrible (its on half price offer in tesco atm, and I still wont buy it)
B&J (tho not the new core one, you can keep that coconutty, tis too sweet for me) is lovely. And I've just got a new, extra big, freezer. I can feel a shopping trip coming on.

The best ice-cream I have ever eaten is Maud's from Enniskillen. Unfortunately, that's now a whole Irish Sea away.

Make your own! It is very easy and tastes much better than shop bought.

They used to have one called The Full Vermonty that then became Vermonster. Hardly get it now. Only B&J ice cream I haveever liked. All that chocolate marshmallow stuff is vomitey.

WRT Ben & Jerrys - if it's on offer I might get some. My issue is the "bits". I hate solid lumps of chocolate in my ice cream, ruins it all!

The bestest best of all is - get a 300ml tub double cream. Whip until thick. Stir in jar of lemon curd (nice one not the cheapy stuff - or homemade)' then shove in the freezer. After two hours stir and shove back in the freezer. Do this another two times and you have lovely lemon icecream. That's is you haven't eaten it by'testing' each time you stir it.

I've never met an ice cream I didn't like. Unfortunately.
