To think Ben and Jerry's ice-cream is crap

I love ice-cream, we've always been good friends, hardly ever fallen out. We go through periods of losing touch but always get back together in the end. But I just have no love for Ben and Jerry's, any of their varieties. There's always too much going on. There'll be caramel, chocolate bits, marshmallows, brownie bits and God knows what else, plus it's too sweet. Their pudding is well and truly over egged.

For me there's little that can compare with a soothing scoop of Haagen Dazs strawberry cheesecake although my keen eye did spot that they've a new mint choc variety out. I'm saving up that encounter till I'm most in need of an ice cream fix.

HD has so much packaging! That annoys me in itself.

Ooh, Ooh, HD (and probably B&J also) are frozen UPSIDE DOWN so that there is no disappointing hole at the top. There will likely be an air bubble further down, but by the time you get there, some ice cream around the edges would have melted to fill the gap IYSWIM.

Phish food...cookie dough...half baked.... I would eat them all day long if I could. Heaven in a bowl.

I don't like Ben and Jerry's - all their flavours seem to involve chocolate.

The thought of Berthillon salted caramel ice cream makes me weak at the knees

Yanbu - If I wanted chocolate chips/chunks/swirls/bits in every flavour of ice cream then I'd add them myself. I do like the cherry garcia, but again, too much bloody choc bits.

I adore HD ice cream, especially the strawberries & cream, and baileys ones.
