Ugly on the inside and the outside......

lisad123 · 03/04/2012 17:15

She looks like a horse! IM even more beautiful than her and that's saying a lot Grin

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 03/04/2012 17:18

She won't feel the fall though, she will just put it down to a lot of people being jealous of her looks.

To be fair to her she isn't bad looking.

But if she's going about genuinely believing that she is too attractive to have friends then I'm not surprised she doesn't have any, although not for the reasons she believes.

doctordwt · 03/04/2012 17:20

But... but... I don't get it.

She looks normal, a bit long faced, and she should have got her teeth fixed.

Weird.

She looks nice in the second photo au naturel. But not particularly beautiful.

CrabbyBigbottom · 03/04/2012 17:22

I've read her stuff before and come to the conclusion that she

a) is stark staring fucking bonkers

b) has a monumental ego

c) which conceals a fragile self esteem that really knows she can only get ahead by flirting with her male bosses...

c) and causes her to blot out the fact that she is in an incredibly sad marriage; her short, ugly husband closely monitors her weight and appearance, and considers it most important that she appear at breakfast every morning in full make up and outfit. If she lets her standards slip, he will of course leave or cheat on her. She nevertheless holds this up as a paragon of marital functionality and bliss. Confused

She's British living in France with a French husband, by the way.

She live

CrabbyBigbottom · 03/04/2012 17:23

Not sure where that extra 'she live' came from, sorry.

Chubfuddler · 03/04/2012 17:24

So she is the one whose husband threatened divorce if she put on weight? Even though he looks like Rene from allo allo himself?

Stratters · 03/04/2012 17:29

Wonder if she reads her critiques?

jifnotcif · 03/04/2012 17:31

This woman gives women a bad name. The word self-absorbed springs to mind.

diabolo · 03/04/2012 17:33

How odd, I clicked on the link, but there is no-one pretty there. It's just some story with Samantha Brick in it.

Someone has clearly taken down the picture of the "beautiful" woman who gets lots of free champagne, so we MNers don't get jealous...... Grin

As as aside, many years ago, I saw Catherine Zeta-Jones on Parkinson and she pretty much said the same thing "oh yes, it's hard being this beautiful, women hate me blah blah blah"

No love - we don't hate you for being pretty, we hate you for being a big-headed, vain, self absorbed egotist.

bobbledunk · 03/04/2012 17:39

She's not great looking, about average for her age. Why is it always the plain ones who think they are so incredibly beautiful that any problem they have must be related to how 'stunning' they are? I've never come across a beautiful person with this attitude, most are oblivious to the effect their appearance have on others or at least pretend to beGrin.

How is it possible to be so delusional? Not to mention stupid enough to go public with your delusionsConfused, suppose if you're crazy...

Xales · 03/04/2012 17:43

Well she is better looking than me however she must have the biggest pile of belly button fluff going for that amount of naval contemplation!

LadySybilDeChocolate · 03/04/2012 17:44

OriginalJamie How did you guess?? Grin

RachelHRD · 03/04/2012 17:47

I'm the same with the Daily Mail - hate it but still can't help looking and then getting suitably enraged with stuff like this and even more so with all of their alarmist health stuff. It's like a drug......Hmm

OP posts:
doctordwt · 03/04/2012 17:48

Incidentally, 'Thick As A Brick', the 1972 Jethro Tull album, consists of one song- the seemingly never-ending title track, described as bombastic and overblown even by the band themselves. How old is Samantha? Surely there must be a link.

DoIgetastickerforthat · 03/04/2012 17:48

I believe her that blokes buy her stuff, I just don't believe it's because they are overwhelmed by her beauty but it's due to her behaviour. I've known a couple of women like this and I dubb it 'The Heather Mills Phenomonon' - average looking women that wrap a man round their little fingers.

I used to work with a girl who, whilst certainly not ugly, was at the plainer end of the pretty spectrum but had a couple of collegues who were totally gaga about her and regulally got customers to buy her drinks, ice-creams, give her large tips. From what I observed to was totally due to the fact that she was a) constantly giving 'I put out' signals to anyone with a penis b) she was unashamed and superbly skilled in her ability to stroke an ego and c) she asked. She would flirt outrageously then say "so, are you going to buy me a drink, pay for my taxi etc the?" and they would. Oh and she liked nothing better than to get a bloke who was out on a date to buy her something, nothing more ego boosting than stealing attention from another women Hmm.

I bet my first born that all of those supposed 'spontaneous reactions to her beauty' were precipitated by a heavy dose of flirting and quite probably some very unsubtle hinting.

mayorquimby · 03/04/2012 17:51

"we need to poll the mn men incase we're all being jealous bitches."

As plain and average looking as you can get. Wouldn't notice her on the street and certainly wouldn't be picking up her dinner bill from across the room for enhancing my evening so much with her mere presence.

catgirl1976 · 03/04/2012 17:55

Wow that is some serious delusion going on!

Sad in a way :(

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 03/04/2012 18:00

She isnt ugly.
But she really isnt the sort to stop traffic. She just isnt.

Not jealousy or bitching caused by living in a patriarchy obesessed with an unobtainable standard of beauty...

She just aint all that.

The DM is full of these sort of mad articles. They seem to find lots of women who are prepared to write insane pieces on how pretty they are, how they hate children, think their exs shouldnt be able to see their children, think gay men are all drug addled sex addicts, think men who have affairs only do it becuase their wives are not attentive enough...

Yawnorama.

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 03/04/2012 18:00

Wait! This has happened to me.

There's an 80+ year old customer at work who regularly buys me a lemonade and a scaffolder from Barnsley once asked if he could cab share with me and my friend at Christmas one year because he was travelling part of the same route home but paid the entire fare for us when we dropped him off. And once a bus driver who knows my parents let me on the bus for free.

It's official, men buy me sparkling drinks and pay my travel costs! I am officially gorgeous!

scottishmummy · 03/04/2012 18:00

never heard of her
attractive, yes
big heided most definitely

ThePathanKhansWitch · 03/04/2012 18:01

She's an attractive woman, but as someone upthread said, you wouldn't give her a second glance in the street.

I can't help thinking someone at the DM is having the most glorious laugh at her expense. Cruel and horrible, the woman obviously has mental health problems.

scottishmummy · 03/04/2012 18:09

no she obviously doesn't have mh problems
can't say that based on article
some folk talk keech maybe she's one of them
don't assume mh issue every time you encounter something unpalatable

ENormaSnob · 03/04/2012 18:10

Do you think she has a backwards kind of body dysmorphia?

LadySybilDeChocolate · 03/04/2012 18:12

Is there some sort of opposite to body dysmorphia? Confused

LadySybilDeChocolate · 03/04/2012 18:13

x post, sorry Norma. I was googling it! Grin
