Ugly on the inside and the outside......

OP posts:
laptopdancer · 03/04/2012 19:32

I actually do think she is verging on ugly...its the mouth (awful teeth)

Mayisout · 03/04/2012 19:33

Not sure she is a natural blonde -- roots look a bit darker imo.

In which case she could revert to mouse to reduce the attention she obviously must attract Grin

laptopdancer · 03/04/2012 19:35

and a weird nose

well, she asked for it

SodoffBaldrick · 03/04/2012 19:35

I feel a bit sorry for her, actually.

Well, very sorry for her. Some massive insecurity issues going on there, being masqueraded as something else entirely.

And the less said about the utterly vile husband, the better. :(

EsmeWeatherwax · 03/04/2012 19:38

She's got the world's first beer mirror.

I got given a free pint of cider in the boozer once, but I suspect that the short ginger bloke in question was actually trying to fire into my best mate who was sitting beside me, and who is completely stunning. Better looking than Mrs Brick anyway.

levington · 03/04/2012 19:41

She's attractive, but jaw-droppingly so? Don't think so. She's no Angelina Jolie. I think most women dislike her because of her arrogance, not her looks.
That, I think, is a non-bitchy, accurate assessment of the situation. Grin

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 03/04/2012 19:43

It must be lovely to have so much self confidence in your looks Grin

However you don't think the Mail quoted her word for word, do you?

carabos · 03/04/2012 19:45

What I don't understand is how the article got past the team of editors or are they all drinking the KoolAid?

I know two women like this in RL, both are "ordinary pretty" and both get a massive, unbelievable amount of attention from men. Male friends have explained that the reason is that while both of them appear to other women to be just normal, they in fact give out huge "I'm available for shagging right here, right now, however you want" signals. One of them has in fact been mistaken for a hooker on more than one occasion.

Not saying any of that applies to Ms Brick of course...

TessTosterone · 03/04/2012 19:47

The thing is if she read this thread she would probably just think ' oh well they are bitching about me because I am so beautiful and they are jealous'. I suspect she is very thick skinned.

TwoIfBySea · 03/04/2012 19:48

Gosh Katie Hopkins is looking a bit different these days.

Nancy66 · 03/04/2012 19:54

she's not being 'quoted' she wrote it herself.

SodoffBaldrick · 03/04/2012 19:57

"However you don't think the Mail quoted her word for word, do you?"

It's written in the first person.

muffinflop · 03/04/2012 19:57

carabos I think you'll find she's a journo and getting big kicks out of the 'uproar' she's caused...but of course we're all just jealous Hmm

LineRunner · 03/04/2012 19:58

No-one writes their own newspaper article. Honest.

Nancy66 · 03/04/2012 19:59

Linerunner that's crap. Plenty do

thebody · 03/04/2012 19:59

Shite! I better than her and I ain't Cheryl cole! She's deluded and a bit miss piggy like, funny as.

ReactionaryFish · 03/04/2012 20:00

This article may be unbelievably pathetic but it as nothing to all the posts on it, here and elsewhere.
If this lady and her silly witterings arouses this level of bile, we need to be asking ourselves some hard questions. Is there really such pleasure to be had in indulging the current misogynist obsession with attacking women for the failures of her appearance. If yes, I'm sorry for you.

LineRunner · 03/04/2012 20:01

Are you thinking of columns, Nancy?

I'm talking about articles about people. They don't get to choose their own quotes. In fact many subjects make complaints about the finished product to the PCC. Or, indeed, sue.

MarriedInVegas · 03/04/2012 20:03

Although, i think she is a bit deluded about how amazing she looks, i am afraid she is right in what she is saying. I have an unbelievably attractive friend/(ex)workmate shes a size 6 blonde beauty with the most amazing teethe youv ever seen.Honestly shes an absolute stunner, but everyone just assumes she was a bitch because of that. nobody would really speak to her outside of our little team in work. it really damaged her confidence and made her genuinely upset that she had no real friends, just me and her boyfriend. very sad.

Nancy66 · 03/04/2012 20:04

No, i'm not thinking of columns.

all newspaper features are edited - including columns.

This isn't an interview, Samantha Brick wrote this herself. It will have been edited but she would have approved the edit.

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 03/04/2012 20:04

Just read some of that other article Helen and Shock omg.

Seriously, if her husband is going to tell her what to wear, couldn't he also advise her on how not to stand like a man or like she's just shat herself.

And NO WAY would I let my OH tell me what to wear! Opinions are fine, if asked for, otherwise people should keep their mouths shut about other people's attire.

LineRunner · 03/04/2012 20:09

How do know that she wrote it herself and approved the edit, though, Nancy?

Do you have inside knowledge??

I think the whole piece comes across as taking the piss out of its subject and out of its readership tbh.

I was in the Daily Mail once. Big photo, quotes, everything. No-one from the DM spoke to me, though. That then became an item on a news internet forum - the big fake DM story.

Nancy66 · 03/04/2012 20:11

Yes, I work there!

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 03/04/2012 20:14

Under the headline it says 'by Samantha Brick' so it appears to be all her own work.

LineRunner · 03/04/2012 20:16

Ah ha! Nancy uncovered! Sorry I recall now seeing you on other threads I think, being a top journalist?
