Felt compelled to ask this as just lately I have really been seeing men in a different light when in social settings. Perhaps I am just getting old and grumpy or reading something that isn't there.

I have been to a few parties recently and have been really conscious of men eyeing up very young almost tartily dressed teenagers. These girls were dressed very glamorously but waay too old for their age. I saw a couple of girls probably aged 16/17 and a couple over 18's, but not by much.

What I found worrying was middle aged men blatently eyeing them up and more worrying men in my group of friends/family. Men old enough to be their dad's. Not necessarily gawping but craftily staring when they could. Now I'm talking not just about a pretty girl but proper tarted up, hot pants the lot.

It made me feel quite sick to see middle aged men perving like this, so am I being unreasonable here to think even nice guys are secret pervs and although they may not be happy with their daughters dressed up like that, they will happily ogle others?

Its the rules when I was out clubbing at 16 if you are sexy and attractive then you can check me and my friends out as much as you like and we love it. If you are old, overweight, bald, have excess amounts of facial hair or have any other characteristics we dont like you are just a perv.

Also same applies for workmen fit young sexy ones with decent bodies are allowed to whistle and shout, old blokes with skin like leather look like they are constantly smoking rollies and never wear suncream with a beer belly - perv. There the rules I dont make them just enforce them think there should be some kind of book on what is allowed

Like mal and HD it always amuses me on these threads when someone gets all excited and desperate and announces that ALL men are pervs/use porn/visit prostitutes and that those of us who actually know our husbands, are deluded and should take the word of some internet random over the man we have lived with and known for a very long time.

Of course its ok for men and women to look at attractive members of the opposite sex. Ogle, leer and flirt. Yes, we all do it to varios, harmless degrees.

Some of us have men who prefer to have sex with a woman who genuinely fancies them. And some of us women actually enjoy sex yer know and have adventurous sex lives. Just because you may see clients who tell you their wives are frigid.

However, I have to agree, there is a lot of naivety here. Some women are sometimes completely oblivious to what their husbands are like or really up to!
