Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, teaandcake, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ELMO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUU!

ElmoFan · 11/05/2012 21:47

Awww Thanks cheerful. :-) xxxxx

I've had a lovely day, myself & DD had our hair and
nails done this morning seeing as she has been off school all this
week on her mid term then we went shopping and later met
up with Dh & DS for lunch :-) then my parents & my sister came over to
babysit so Dh & i went to the cinema to see Dark Shadows :-)
I am absolutely exhausted now though because today was my first
Day out after being sick all week with strepthroat & ear infection

So how is everyone? Anyone doing anything exciting this weekend?

It's my Dh's Birthday tomorrow but he's working until 10pm tomorrow night
So going to crake open a bottle of wine now & stick on a dvd & celebrate
together tonight :-)
xxx

Stick on a DVD? I'd be having mind blowing sex in your shoes Grin LOL Or at the very least a good shag Wink

ElmoFan · 11/05/2012 22:08

Ooo yum! Wish it wasn't virtual, although I've had a fab afternoon tea at a posh hotel, whilst ExH had the kids Smile

valiumredhead · 13/05/2012 20:13

Oh yum elmo!

Oooo tea - how lovely! Were doing that next month with a group of friends - can't wait!

CheerfulYank · 14/05/2012 17:05

Oooh, apple crumble...delish! :)

I had my two best friends over for a sleepover this past weekend for an early celebration for my birthday. Going to be 30. Sigh...nothing to be done about it though! :o

Obviously 30 is not old by an stretch of the imagination, but it just feels like I should have more things figured out by now!

valiumredhead · 15/05/2012 11:04

Only 30? Try 41 - you'd weep then! Wink

I am decorating - just taking a break. Have nearly finish priming huge double doors, it's mind numbing!

CheerfulYank · 15/05/2012 17:20

Oooh, what sort of double doors are they? My mom and dad just hung a pair of enormous double doors with windows at the top, they were beautiful. Envy

I have to go up north for my Godson's confirmation this weekend, and then next weekend we're leaving to go to my cousin's wedding in Michigan. 12 hours of driving...bleeurgh. I'm hoping to convince DH to stay overnight somewhere around Chicago and then see the aquarium the next day before going on to Michigan. He wants to do all the driving in one day, which sounds horrendous to me!

valiumredhead · 15/05/2012 17:40

They are plain wooden ones leading off the front room - they are all ready for the topcoat tomorrow.

12 hrs of driving in one day? Thats mad!

Teaandcakeplease · 15/05/2012 18:39

Seems pretty normal in America though to drive huge distances. Road trip!

I wouldn't want to go that far without a stop over.

Doors sound lovely. Want to come and do my door next? Grin

Cheerful I'll be 34 in June. It doesn't seem to bother me anymore. I'm still young Wink

CheerfulYank · 15/05/2012 18:40

It is normal, but it is also a PITA. :)

I don't think I'll have issues turning any other age, but for some reason 30 is a tough one. It feels like I should be more set in life or something!

valiumredhead · 15/05/2012 18:40

It's because the roads are wide and the cars automatic Grin

valiumredhead · 15/05/2012 18:41

Young? Wink

CheerfulYank · 15/05/2012 18:47

We're all mere babies. :o

Teaandcakeplease · 15/05/2012 19:28

Indeed.

Valium my lovely my fwb is 45, so I clearly think 45 is a fab age Grin So 41 is clearly still young Wink

Teaandcakeplease · 15/05/2012 19:46

Did you see this thread yesterday: Why does an Irishman wear two condoms? To be sure, to be sure
I laughed a lot.

valiumredhead · 17/05/2012 08:47

That's funny tea Grin

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YANKY Grin Thanks xxx

ElmoFan · 17/05/2012 09:27

Thank you!

I just handed out cake pops to all the kids at work, they loved them.

My best friend and I are roadtripping starting tomorrow; we have to drive up north for our Godson's confirmation. It's five hours but we're going to stay overnight with our other friend halfway in between. So excited to see her. :)

then next week is the big Michigan trip to my cousin's wedding. I'm really hoping to stop in Chicago and see some cool stuff. :)

I think I probably told you all of this already... Hmm

ElmoFan · 18/05/2012 17:37

Have a great trip cheerful :) xxx
