Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, teaandcake, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Good morning Everyone :)

Gomummy Welcome back xx

Thanks to you all for the support yesterday xxxxx

I might start a thread later in the School topic & see if any teachers reply and get their reaction to the phone idea. I am just worried it could end up getting ds expelled if he did it . I have no idea what the law on that would be over here tbh but it does seem to be the only way ds can prove himself .

Valium - I can't wait to see the movie when it comes out :) heard it's really good.

I was thinking some more about the phone thing elmo - personally I would do EVERYTHING in my power first before asking ds to break school rules. So I would insist on a formal complaint and a meeting with the Governors then if that didn't help I would go all out and do the phone thing as by that point there is nothing to lose.

I am getting it in the neck in Chat this morning! Shock

I am not sure I want to see the film now I have read the book - it might spoil what I have in my head!

Tiredmumno1 · 08/02/2012 10:33

Elmo that's what we are here for, a bit of advice and support Smile I actually agree with Valium's advice, could you try that first? Do you have solicitors over there that would give a quick bit of free advice on the phone, so you know where you stand with the phone situation, at least you would have definite piece of mind.

Valium ignore that other thread, the op was being crabby, I didn't see what you said wrong but hey ho, these delivery drivers can't win eh Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 08/02/2012 14:41

Well it looks like the boys won't be going back to this school after next week now, we have had to move them closer to home, as dh won't be able to take them anymore after he starts his new job, sending them by taxi would cost £200 a month Shock so we made the decision to move them, so ds1 will be away from that horrid girl that followed us there from his old school, she never did stop hitting him, she even tried punching him on his birthday, but his friends stood in front of her so she couldn't, and I can't see her following this time as she would not have a clue where he is and it's no where near them woo hoo

valiumredhead · 08/02/2012 15:13

Oh ffs, ds went back to school today, then had a call at 2pm to come and pick him up as he is still poorly. Now it looks like he has a flu type bug as he is hot and cold and is in bed and hasn't moved since I brought him home

tired that's sounds like it will be a positive move no?

Tiredmumno1 · 08/02/2012 16:48

Oh Valium, your poor ds, i hope he perks up a bit, just let him have the rest and keep him snuggled, sorry to hear that he is feeling like that.

It is really a good thing, seems like the same thing is happening here again, where they are not using his statement hours as they should be, and then today he came out and just burst into tears, some fucking idiotic student teacher put his name on the white board to say he couldn't play out tomorrow Angry especially when I found out it was because he was last getting changed after PE, is she insane, that is the most stupid piece of crap I have heard.

So I phoned them, only to be told that this student teacher was supervising them Shock without any normal teacher there, surely they are not allowed to leave a student teacher supervising Angry

S'cuse my language, rant over Grin

CheerfulYank · 08/02/2012 18:41

That seems like a silly reason to not let him go to recess. Someone has to be last getting changed. Hmm

gomummygo · 08/02/2012 22:35

Yes to what Cheerful has said above. And another Hmm

Glad it will be a positive change though Tiredmum.

Hope DS is feeling better soon Valium.

Tiredmumno1 · 08/02/2012 23:02

Sorry for having a rant, it's just been so hard for us, and for ds more, he really has been through it with incompetent teachers. I don't know why, we are always nice, and always buying chocs etc for the school and teachers to thank them, and then all this is going on, where are we going wrong Sad

CheerfulYank · 08/02/2012 23:16

You're going wrong because you don't live by me! :o

Sorry to be light about it. Seriously though, the special ed at our school is amazing, the case worker/teacher I work with now is the business. She cares so much and tries so hard, and I love working under her. It makes you really see how many crap teachers there are when you work with good ones!

I'm sorry your DS has to go through this. Makes me Angry on your behalf. If I was his 1:1 and you brought me chocolates I would be in lurve with your family! Wink

Tiredmumno1 · 08/02/2012 23:23

Aww thanks cheerful, at least I know there are some nice teachers out there somewhere, I swear bad luck follows us around.

Oh yes, chocs are a must, in our eyes you are educating and caring for our boys whilst they are at school, so we feel we should show that we appreciate that.

If it was you cheerful you would get the extra nice ones just for being wonderful Grin

gomummygo · 09/02/2012 03:14

Don't apologise Tiredmum, that's what we're here for, rant away! You're certainly entitled to be upset under the circs.

Wish there were more who approached their jobs like you Cheerful.

Tiredmumno1 · 09/02/2012 13:44

Thank you so much, I was so angry, especially as she was aware of his needs. He did go in this morning but was scared to go to the classroom, so his class teacher came and got him. We had to pop to the school about an hour ago to put some cream on ds2 and saw ds1 whilst we were there, he was eating lunch but looked ok, we shall have words when he comes out.

But it's going to be their last day tomorrow so will just put it behind us and move on, and just make sure the new school is aware of all of it, talk about a knock of confidence though.

Thanks again for listening Smile

Tiredmumno1 · 09/02/2012 14:41

Everything is looking good they have definitely been accepted into the new school yay

valiumredhead · 09/02/2012 14:46

YAY Grin x

ElmoFan · 09/02/2012 14:51

Aww tiredmum :( sorry to hear you have to move the boys school again xx poor little ds1 , that student teacher sounds dreadful (hugs to you & ds1) but it's good that this school will be nearer to you & ds1 gets rid of that horrid girl who keeps following him xxx How is Jamie feeling now ? hope he's on the mend :)

How is ds feeling today valium ?

ElmoFan · 09/02/2012 14:51

Blush that should be Brew

Tiredmumno1 · 09/02/2012 16:35

Thanks all, they are excited about the new school. Just one tiny incident happened this afternoon, ds1 said he asked in his words "can I have the poster back please" she says to him you're not being very polite are you Hmm I will be making a complaint to the educational department anyway, she does not deserve to work with children, just picking for nothing, I fail to see how that was not polite.

Grabs the Brew off Elmo, ta Grin
Jamie is starting to get better just being slightly clingy but I am sure he will be fine when he is 100% better.

Hope ds is better Valium Smile

ElmoFan · 09/02/2012 16:59

:( poor kid . Definitely make a complaint , ds1 sounds lovely to me :) I swear it baffles me sometimes why some people who seem to have no time for children decide to work with them Confused
Glad their excited about the new school :) xx

Teaandcakeplease · 09/02/2012 20:03

Shakespearse book day thingy coming up at school after half term and they want the kids to dress up as Elizabethan. Would it be lazy to buy this neck ruff and get her to wear it with a princess dress or should I cough up for something more like this? I did find a dress identical to this but for less earlier. Although this dress is lush But see now I'm just loving the clothes and wasting money

Teaandcakeplease · 09/02/2012 20:13

Oops just spotted the typo Blush

Tiredmumno1 · 09/02/2012 20:25

Wow that third dress is so pretty Smile if you can afford it then spend out for it, if not then the compromise is also a good choice tea

CheerfulYank · 09/02/2012 20:37

Ooh, that third dress is gorgeous. :)

Tiredmumno1 · 09/02/2012 20:38

Do you like this one dress ?

Now you got me looking Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 09/02/2012 20:38

Elmo I gave Jamie big hugs for you and a kiss Smile
