to be disgusted at my shitting husband

Shit appears to be a theme today.

My DH is normally quite well mannered and comes equipped with all the required social skills. However he has recently started coming into the bathroom to have a shit while I am in the bath or shower. He says he can't wait until I'm done. I think what's the point in having £15 lavender scented bubbles from L'Occitane when he's firing out a smelly dump a metre from my head. I shout at him, but he says I'm being precious and it's what all married people do. Now, I don't want to ask my friends if this sort of thing is normal, so I'm throwing it out here.

And it fucking stinks.

Yesterday I was on the loo when he came in and pissed in the sink.
I'm not sure what the hell has happened to him.

AIBU to think this is vile?

lock the door?

squeakytoy · 17/10/2011 16:35

er, would a lock on the door not be a simple solution? Confused

MrBloomsNursery · 17/10/2011 16:35
Biscuit
wahwahwah · 17/10/2011 16:35

Lock the door

Methe · 17/10/2011 16:35

Just take him to the vets and have him put to sleep.

Angel786 · 17/10/2011 16:35

Yanbu.

DawnOfTheDeementedDead · 17/10/2011 16:35

He pissed in the sink? Dirty fucker!

I'd suggest you invest in a lock for the bathroom, sharpish.

ZombiesAteYourCervix · 17/10/2011 16:36

I'd have to leave tha bastard. Not asseptable.

Gloribe · 17/10/2011 16:36

We don't have a lock on the door because of our DD's habit of locking herself in. Better suggestions?

Grumpla · 17/10/2011 16:36

Lock the door.

That, or leave the bastard.

MedusaIsHavingABadHairDay · 17/10/2011 16:37

It's not normal! My DH wouldn't dream of using the loo if I was in the bath!
Lock the door.

SecretNutellaFix · 17/10/2011 16:37

Put a lock high up on the door? Where your DD can't reach?

loveglove · 17/10/2011 16:37

Ask him if he needs the toilet before going in the bath.

You can get locks for internal doors that open with keys from the outside (DD) - just remember to take the keys in with you when you go in.

slightlymad72 · 17/10/2011 16:37

you can buy locks that you can open from the outside.

Rudawakening · 17/10/2011 16:38

Put a lock at the top of the door where DD can not reach but you can.

GooseyLoosey · 17/10/2011 16:38

Lock at the top of the door where dd can't reach.

SickleBOO · 17/10/2011 16:38

Hook & eye type lock at adult height. The sort you can get on gates.
Fill a beaker with water when you're in the shower & tip it over his head.

discobeaver · 17/10/2011 16:39

Put a lock really high up where your dd can't reach?
That's utterly disgusting behaviour, wtf? Shit on his dinner plate.

usualsuspect · 17/10/2011 16:39

you only have one bathroom?Shock

discobeaver · 17/10/2011 16:40

Ha, x posted with everyone, except the dinner plate part . . .

Poodleplops · 17/10/2011 16:40

Make him take a dump outside.

Gloribe · 17/10/2011 16:41

Thanks MNetters. I didn't think it was normal. The lock from the outside sounds like a good idea but I suspect he gets some weird sick thrill out of my disgust.

OP posts:
loveglove · 17/10/2011 16:42

poop on his chest while he's asleep.

nickelbabe · 17/10/2011 16:43

I can see his POV, from the fact when you need to go, you need to go, but if he's doing it every time, then he's being a twat.

You're not being precious - if it stinks then he's ruining your wash time.

If you can't lock the door, then shove a chair against it, or a big box.

Yama · 17/10/2011 16:43

I was going to say put a lock at adult height but I see numerous posters have beaten me to it.
