Okay, I know my name ruffles feathers. MNHQ sent me a (very nice) email back in February asking if I would consider changing it, I have only just seen the email Blush

I said to MNHQ that I might throw it open to a poll. They said probably not a good idea because people who would prefer me to change it might be reluctant to admit it for fear of being called a prude. So here's the deal; you can be honest. If you think I should revert to CupcakesandBunting say so and no-one will call you a prude here. If you'd like my present name to stay say so too. No-one will call you a potty-mouthed numpty. Also, if you couldn't give a crap, you can say so too Wink

BupcakesandCunting · 16/07/2011 09:53

mumnotmachine · 16/07/2011 09:58

I've only jyst read it properly- I thought it was Cupcakes etc anyway!!
Its certainly not offended me- even though I hate the C word!!!

HalfTermHero · 16/07/2011 10:07

Having had a chance to reflect sober up and eat a tofu kebab I reckon that the lion will beat the terriers regardless of fight venue. I will now go about my day feeling peaceful.

SuePurblybilt · 16/07/2011 10:13

I don't think people read names anyway - most think mine is my actual name. And it's a well known fact no proof so don't ask that only utter loons actually bother to complain about stuff like that.

You keeps it if you likes it Buppy.

IfoundmyGspot · 16/07/2011 10:33

Life is too short

debka · 16/07/2011 10:45

I an honestly say I have never said That Word in my life.

But it makes me smile whenever I see your posts bupcakes, keep it I say.

youarekidding · 16/07/2011 11:18

Yeah but for some really odd reason SuePurbly yours sticks in my head. Although it took a while to realise its is bilt not bit. Smile

FreudianSlipper · 16/07/2011 11:23

i like it

i love the word cunt

FriskyMare · 16/07/2011 11:26

I love your name bupcakes, please don't change it:o

Jaquelinehyde · 16/07/2011 11:47

I think it just screams 'look at me, look at me I used the word cunt aren't I cool and so totally edgy' when actually it just looks a little desperate. IMO.

No issue with the word cunt though, it is just a word after all and I agree cupcakesandbunting is very twee. Maybe a change is needed just to keep you all fresh.

SuePurblybilt · 16/07/2011 11:47

Grin Now I am worried that I have insulted you youarekidding and that makes it memorable.
I think you have a point with the bilt, I may amend to built. I'm overdue an anti-outing change anyway.

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 16/07/2011 11:49

I like it.
I think it's subtle enough to pass the notice of most people.

I would prefer you not to change it.
:)

NearlyHeadlessnickelbabe · 16/07/2011 12:03

and if i had posted last ngiht, i would not have been posting in a drunken stupour.
I might have been drugged up with honey and lemon drink cos I have a cold, but not alcohol.

bloody Isbn. I want a drink, but i've gone off the taste of it too! [sob sob]

I hate your name everytime I see it. (Sorry but I do). I have no problem with the word used in a funny or clever way,(or to decribe someone who just is one), but I never understand why anyone would use it in their name. Why ?? Just why ? I think it makes the poster (not just you op but all the ones with c*nt in their name) look silly and "look how clever and funny I am" when really it's just a bit pathetic.

AF's name though, I find sharp and classy. Can't explain why.

Please change it, it doesn't become you, as I'm sure you know Wink

Namechangerlicious · 16/07/2011 13:30

I love the name BupcakesandCunting and wish I had thought of it myself Envy

Keep it! Grin

youarekidding · 16/07/2011 17:52

No SuePurbly you've never insulted me that I remember Grin

ShoutyHamster · 16/07/2011 18:03

Change to Buppers, everyone will know the backstory. Or BupcakesAndTheLipsOfGlory Grin

FuzzpigFourFiveSix · 16/07/2011 18:07

I like your name :)

DragonAlley · 16/07/2011 18:08

I really hate swearwords in user names. it seems unnecessary and a bit "look at me, I'm so edgy and irreverent".

I don't let it affect how I interact with that person though.

SirGin · 16/07/2011 19:58

I think given we're all adults it should't really be changed.

I doubt MN central are really too bothered if they just sent one email about it.

Personally i don't mind the name , if anything it gives a hint / warning :o to your posting style.

I tend to shorten it to Bups , but it does make me laugh when you take the piss out of yourself and refer to The Cuntings :)

I think if one feels swear words should be censored then Netmums is a suitable alternative.

BupcakesandCunting · 16/07/2011 20:45

Oh HAI, Ginster.

I was a bit tiddly last night when posting and I've just read the thread back. I do like CupcakesandTwunting and CupcakesandTheLipsOfGlory Grin

OP posts:
ChaosTrulyReigns · 16/07/2011 20:53

I'm a bit jealous actually.

No one calls me anything affectionate like you get Buppy.

Sad
BupcakesandCunting · 16/07/2011 20:58

It's only cos your name is made up of words that you can't abbreviate/turn into something nicknamey.

You know everyone loves you though, so no need!

OP posts:
lawnimp · 16/07/2011 20:59

only read op!

i don't like it
