Some of you may know the story about my DD.

She died aged 14, 5 years ago.

When she was dying I was sitting with her and she was reaching out and smiling.

I said to her 'what are you doing darling?'

She told me 'I am catching the butterflies mummy'

She left us soon after and ever since butterflies have been a huge part of my life. Billie was like a butterfly. Beautiful and fragile and she bought joy to anyone who knew her.

Its my birthday today it was also the Memory Day a the local children's hospice. We let off some ballons and I took a photo of Billie's.

I see MrsdeVere's name and I think "She's the one with the beautiful daughter." I don't remember many posters' profiles (sorry!) but I always remember her lovely daughter.

I do know your story and think you are an amazing person. What a beautiful girl. And a beautiful sign for you on your birthday that she is always close by x

Butterflies are a good symbol of change and of rebirth, and an excellent metaphor for renewed strength and beauty.

I am very teary at your story and so very sorry for your loss. Your daughter was absolutely beautiful and she looks so mature and full of intelligence and self confidence. What a heartbreaking time you had had.
