Some of you may know the story about my DD.

She died aged 14, 5 years ago.

When she was dying I was sitting with her and she was reaching out and smiling.

I said to her 'what are you doing darling?'

She told me 'I am catching the butterflies mummy'

She left us soon after and ever since butterflies have been a huge part of my life. Billie was like a butterfly. Beautiful and fragile and she bought joy to anyone who knew her.

Its my birthday today it was also the Memory Day a the local children's hospice. We let off some ballons and I took a photo of Billie's.

Oh Mrs D - perfect...just very, very perfect.

Whenever we go on holiday to Rhodes - no matter what time of year (one year it was the last week of October) - on the first day when we sit around the pool 2 white butterflies hover over us....just for a few minutes, then they are gone. I always like to think that my boys are letting us know that they too have come on holiday with us. Butterflies are very special aren't they?

Billie was most certainly with you today....well done that girl...but then, as we have discussed often, she is always with you and you will forever be her Mum.
