Some of you may know the story about my DD.

She died aged 14, 5 years ago.

When she was dying I was sitting with her and she was reaching out and smiling.

I said to her 'what are you doing darling?'

She told me 'I am catching the butterflies mummy'

She left us soon after and ever since butterflies have been a huge part of my life. Billie was like a butterfly. Beautiful and fragile and she bought joy to anyone who knew her.

Its my birthday today it was also the Memory Day a the local children's hospice. We let off some ballons and I took a photo of Billie's.

what lovely photos. I dont know if this is any help to you or not and sorry if it isnt. My youngest DD had an operation at 3yr old. she was pretty dosed up (pre-med) and was reaching out to catch the butterflys. maybe they do exist? after all

DGrandad's hearse came literally through and under a rainbow to get to Dmums house on the day of hid funeral - he loved rainbows....every time we see one we say he is here....

I feel sort of elated. Its the feeling I get when I have a dream about her. It keeps me going for a while.

Once when I was particularly low I was walking home in the gloom and drizzle. I was looking down and saw something glittering on the pavement. It was a tiny, perfect butterfly brooch. Lying there in the London dirt.
