Today i had a really embarrising incident during the school run.

Firstly i must tell you a few facts.

There is a high preportion of dads who do the school run at the local primary school.
Its a long walk from playground pickup point to car park.
We live in a small town , everyone knows dh , and his family.
Gossip is rife , theres not much to do so its a passtime with the locals !
Im a well built girl.

Today was quite warm , and the alarm didnt go off so we were rushing to get out in time.
I grabbed the first thing i could out of the wardrobe ...black strapless maxi dress ,one button short cardi and flat sandles.

Get to school just in time.

Later as school finishes i pick up the DC.
DD4 likes to be carried to car .
so i pick her up , then notice shes forgot her school bag. Carry her back to class , put her down and she gets her bag and walks back to car .

Im getting funny looks from the other mums [confused ...

a few of the dads are also like this ->Grin

Nearly at our car , and a grandad who is waiting in his parked car starts coughing violently , choking on his own laughter and points at me !!!

BiscuitBiscuit

OMFG THE BOOBS ARE OUT ! DD4 has accidentaly pulled my dress down and i didnt notice !!!!

Short of doing a midnight flit , and praying that no-one ever talks to DH or his family ever again ,im not going to escape this.

So aibu to refuse to ever do the school run again ? Blush

Oh no you poor thing! Cheered me up tonight no end

TheLadyHare · 24/06/2011 20:00

Grin @ droves. Tis the only thing which will numb your pain!

schmee · 24/06/2011 20:00

That made me laugh a lot! And I bet it made all the dads' day! I frequently have problems with my shirts coming undone (open plan office, on the way into school, etc, etc). so I share your pain. Just smile serenely and tell them you'll be charging next time if they DARE to say anything!

p.s. please tell me you were wearing a bra?

Geordieminx · 24/06/2011 20:02

What bra size are you?

tibni · 24/06/2011 20:02

Have a flesh coloured t-shirt printed with "boob design" and wear it Monday. Stick to the story that you wore it today too! Grin

iMemoo · 24/06/2011 20:02

I feel your pain.

I once walked round sainsburys with my left boob out courtesy of Dd, only realised when I got to the car.

peepoor · 24/06/2011 20:04

that i think is worse than waht happened to me, can i share,
walking up to school and back dh realises my knickers are hanging out the back of my jeans, stuck to mym cardigan.
i think only one person saw me but i cant face her again.

Adair · 24/06/2011 20:04

Ohhh embarrassing! But why didn't anyone say anything to you?

You have to just brazen it out and laugh about it with everyone. That's what I did when ds (2) did a poo in the school playground Blush..

bellavita · 24/06/2011 20:05

Anyone wanna see some puppies... Grin

floosiemcwoosie · 24/06/2011 20:06

Dont worry, i got out of the car one day at school and turned around to get DS. I felt a bit cold and looked down and my trousers had fell to my ankles, i was loaded down with school bag, present etc and just froze for a minute.

To cap it all, I had on the big grey, Bridget Jones knickers

cuttingpicassostoenails · 24/06/2011 20:08

Ha! 's all right for you lot...just wait til you reach my age.

I'm now at the stage where lifting my ankle length floaty skirt up to my knees when I step over a puddle exposes my boobs.

Oh yes...there aint nothing Issac newton can teach ME about the effects of gravity.

Mandy2003 · 24/06/2011 20:08

I went to the school once with the day before's sock poking out of the leg of my jeans. Both black though so maybe unnoticed!

I think Worra's suggestion is brilliant Smile

droves · 24/06/2011 20:10

bra size 32 F .... strapless dress , so no bra they were out .

Can any of you send me a shovel so i can dig a hole and jump in ?
