To never do the school run again OMFG!

Today i had a really embarrising incident during the school run.

Firstly i must tell you a few facts.

There is a high preportion of dads who do the school run at the local primary school.
Its a long walk from playground pickup point to car park.
We live in a small town , everyone knows dh , and his family.
Gossip is rife , theres not much to do so its a passtime with the locals !
Im a well built girl.

Today was quite warm , and the alarm didnt go off so we were rushing to get out in time.
I grabbed the first thing i could out of the wardrobe ...black strapless maxi dress ,one button short cardi and flat sandles.

Get to school just in time.

Later as school finishes i pick up the DC.
DD4 likes to be carried to car .
so i pick her up , then notice shes forgot her school bag. Carry her back to class , put her down and she gets her bag and walks back to car .

Im getting funny looks from the other mums [confused ...

a few of the dads are also like this ->Grin

Nearly at our car , and a grandad who is waiting in his parked car starts coughing violently , choking on his own laughter and points at me !!!

BiscuitBiscuit

OMFG THE BOOBS ARE OUT ! DD4 has accidentaly pulled my dress down and i didnt notice !!!!

Short of doing a midnight flit , and praying that no-one ever talks to DH or his family ever again ,im not going to escape this.

So aibu to refuse to ever do the school run again ? Blush

Peoples' memories are thankfully short. < remembers mum at sports day 25 years ago who ran mothers' race almost wearing a boob tube (She got a lot of cheering from the dads as she breasted the tape)

whysolate · 24/06/2011 22:31

It has already been commented on droves but I have the same size norks as you and am very Envy that you can go without a bra! which was what I thought once I had finished laughing!

Cocoflower · 24/06/2011 22:34

I have exposed my boobies on at least 9 occasions I can remember

I only meant to do it on one occasion as well.

(Only kidding I never meant to but it is mortifying when it happens!)

stickylittlefingers · 24/06/2011 22:35

I would capitalise on your notoriety and get to know everyone at the school gates on Monday (it's what Max Clifford would say). It takes "what to wear on the school run" to a whole new level...

ZacharyQuack · 25/06/2011 01:40

On monday morning, ask all the other mums why weren't they at Slutwalk on Friday?

TrinIsASadSpottyFatRhino · 25/06/2011 01:46

op that is bloody hilarious

I've had my right boob out on tesco for a good aisle r so

was wondering why people were looking at me

the EMBARRASMENT when I realised

thanks for that gecko Hmm

must be 4 years now and I still shudder

I used to work in a very large open plan office - 250 in one office, 10 women 240 men.

I was talking to a bloke 2 rows away, whilst talking I took off my jumper, bloke said something that I had to argue with, stopped what I was doing and argued what needed to be argued. Realised it had gone quiet in rest of office, realised he wasn't arguing.

Under top had got caught on bra, and pulled bra down and my tits were there for office to view.

Only time I've been glad to be a 32AA!!!

TartyMcFarty · 25/06/2011 22:10

So Droves, have you told DH yet?

Grin @ Westernisle

skybluepearl · 25/06/2011 22:51

how funny!

only last week my friend left her house with her nipple on show. i told her straight away inbetween my fits of laughter.

Omigawd · 25/06/2011 23:31

Tut - and no man offered to put them back in - no manners these days :o

Smellslikecatpee · 26/06/2011 00:05

Excellent!!!
I once sat for half a shift at a large supermarkets petrol station with my shirt unbuttoned to my belly and my very slutty half cup balconette bra on show [was meeting OH after work]
Worse it was a Saturday night and we tended to sell a lot of condoms with the petrol.
Work colleague and I couldn?t figure out why all of them were queuing up to pay at my till and ignoring her, at one point there was a queue of 6 men ignoring her saying do you want to come over her this till is open. . . .
Wasn?t till it calmed down and I got up to restock the cigs and condoms did she notice.
Worst of all we had a big poster in the window offering ?DOUBLE POINTS ON PETROL?
Thank God the CCTV was down again!!!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 26/06/2011 01:14

OH.MY.GOD Shock

droves · 26/06/2011 10:16

Havent told dh ,

I used to work in a Kindergarten & was holding a child who was unsettled.

Was also talking to a dad about how his lo had been.

The little girl I was holding was undoing my blouse buttons...BlushGrin

(I was wearing a bra though)

janey68 · 26/06/2011 14:58

Omg ive just seen this- hilarious!
The only suggestion I can think of - and have only skimmed thread, so may have already been said- is to breezily announce in the playground tomorrow 'was everything ok when my twin sister did the pick up on Friday? She mentioned getting some odd looks so just wondered!'

Bast · 26/06/2011 16:43

I remember the swimming pool one and this has to be up there as a classic Grin

Droves, only worry if they put something in the school newsletter about 'appropriate clothing on school grounds' or a parent pre-pick up check list, with 'clothes' bullet marked...

Wink
MummyBump · 26/06/2011 16:50

Hugs I was going to say that we've all been there but, poor you, you have been somewhere exceptional. - how about...

We've all been somewhere similar and we are very sympathetic x x

Omigawd · 26/06/2011 19:20

Next time at school put on a brave front, remember your good points and if they don't like it, tough titties :o

Riveninside · 26/06/2011 19:42

Looking forward to that schoolrun tomorrow droves? Grin

BimboNo5 · 26/06/2011 19:55

Why on gods earth at an F cup were you not wearing a bra?

Becauseiamworthit · 26/06/2011 20:15

I just saw this Omg!! You have totally made my evening. But with laughing so hard I now run the risk of waking DD

Becauseiamworthit · 26/06/2011 20:22

I once did my entire weekly shop with one boob still out of my nursing bra, having forgotten to tuck it back in after feeding DD, realised once back home. But I was too impressed with myself for even making it out of the house and back with my sanity intact, that I didn't care much about my minor-ish wardrobe malfunction

40winks · 26/06/2011 20:49

'wardrobe malfunction' Grin

foreverondiet · 26/06/2011 21:09

oh dear! I especially laughing as we got a note home from school asking us to dress appropriately on school pick up (faith school etc) because a nanny had her shock horrors shoulders and belly button* exposed.

But am a bit Shock that you could venture out without bra. I am 32C and shudder at thought of coming home from gym (in car) without bra if I forgot to take clean underwear.
