Today i had a really embarrising incident during the school run.

Firstly i must tell you a few facts.

There is a high preportion of dads who do the school run at the local primary school.
Its a long walk from playground pickup point to car park.
We live in a small town , everyone knows dh , and his family.
Gossip is rife , theres not much to do so its a passtime with the locals !
Im a well built girl.

Today was quite warm , and the alarm didnt go off so we were rushing to get out in time.
I grabbed the first thing i could out of the wardrobe ...black strapless maxi dress ,one button short cardi and flat sandles.

Get to school just in time.

Later as school finishes i pick up the DC.
DD4 likes to be carried to car .
so i pick her up , then notice shes forgot her school bag. Carry her back to class , put her down and she gets her bag and walks back to car .

Im getting funny looks from the other mums [confused ...

a few of the dads are also like this ->Grin

Nearly at our car , and a grandad who is waiting in his parked car starts coughing violently , choking on his own laughter and points at me !!!

BiscuitBiscuit

OMFG THE BOOBS ARE OUT ! DD4 has accidentaly pulled my dress down and i didnt notice !!!!

Short of doing a midnight flit , and praying that no-one ever talks to DH or his family ever again ,im not going to escape this.

So aibu to refuse to ever do the school run again ? Blush

begonyabampot · 26/06/2011 21:15

And I sometimes go knickerless - very refreshing!

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 27/06/2011 08:29

Sorry, I'm stuck on: you're a 32F with five birth children and you can go braless?

Really? I mean, really?

diddl · 27/06/2011 09:48

Hey-we can all go braless-whether or not we should...Grin

OP-how are they you this morning?BlushGrin

HeadfirstForHalos · 27/06/2011 10:30

Did you get any winks or knowing looks this morning OP? Grin

ginnybag · 27/06/2011 10:38

32f, 5 birth kids and you can wear no bra!?

You have nothing to be ashamed of. Respect, woman! That's some body you've got.

I've had one baby, I'm a 34E and no way could I leave the house without a bra.

Chin up and look 'em straight in the eye!

Happybrewer · 27/06/2011 10:46

As a regular school, run Dad, we could all do with something to brighten the day! Top work www.mumsnet.com/te/2.gif

oohlaalaa · 27/06/2011 10:49

Hehe. It happened to me when I was 20 years old. I was in a strapless dress on a bus when I revealed myself. Took me a while to realise too. I was with a group of friends, and noticed the boy infront was being very chatty.

At the time I was a size 10, with great pert boobs, and just shrugged it off. Not sure if I'd be able to do so now.

MorelliOrRanger · 27/06/2011 10:52

Brilliant thread.

I feel for you OP - but I think the t-shirt is a fantastic idea.

HippyHippopotamus · 27/06/2011 10:53

i've been trying to think of an embarrassing situation i've been in to share and make you feel better. Unfortunately, I've not come up with anything yet but thank you for the smile!

mummyofonegirl · 27/06/2011 10:57

OMG that is seriously funny but someone should have said something to you. I would have.

CurrySpice · 27/06/2011 11:45

I am just jealous you can go bra-less Angry

droves · 27/06/2011 15:41

Had some funny looks , and a slightly knowing smile from one of the creepy feckers "dodgy-ier" dads ,.

No-one mentioned the dress malfunction ! .

No sign of the hysterical grandad !

think ive got away with it Grin.

secret to the braless wonder ...work the pectoral muscles hard and they stay perky ! Wink

Good Lord, I'm a C on a good day and I won't even answer the door braless! I made a run for a cardi today because there was a Jehovah knocking on the door and I didn't want to answer it norks a'flailing under a very thin T-shirt. She left before I could cover up and open the door, though.

Oh poor you OP. Glad you brazened it out and no one said anything.

I want to read the "minge" thread!

RevoltingPeasant · 27/06/2011 20:51

If it makes you feel any better, I am a university lecturer and once, after a very attentive audience, I went to the loo to discover that the top buttons on my blouse had come undone. I was a wearing a very sheer bra that day.

There were approx 160 people in that lecture audience.

Blush

The next week it was more like 260

MorelliOrRanger · 28/06/2011 10:02

Haha - I've done this (had forgotten til D0G put her story up).

We have a downstairs shower. I was in it and the doorbell went, I peeked out of the shower (door open cos of DD being about 1) to find the postman looking through my kitchen window - he got a complete full frontal of me Blush.

I don't know which posty it was as I didn't have my glasses on so have always been ok with it. He's never said to me 'you look different with your clothes on' either.
