Today i had a really embarrising incident during the school run.

Firstly i must tell you a few facts.

There is a high preportion of dads who do the school run at the local primary school.
Its a long walk from playground pickup point to car park.
We live in a small town , everyone knows dh , and his family.
Gossip is rife , theres not much to do so its a passtime with the locals !
Im a well built girl.

Today was quite warm , and the alarm didnt go off so we were rushing to get out in time.
I grabbed the first thing i could out of the wardrobe ...black strapless maxi dress ,one button short cardi and flat sandles.

Get to school just in time.

Later as school finishes i pick up the DC.
DD4 likes to be carried to car .
so i pick her up , then notice shes forgot her school bag. Carry her back to class , put her down and she gets her bag and walks back to car .

Im getting funny looks from the other mums [confused ...

a few of the dads are also like this ->Grin

Nearly at our car , and a grandad who is waiting in his parked car starts coughing violently , choking on his own laughter and points at me !!!

BiscuitBiscuit

OMFG THE BOOBS ARE OUT ! DD4 has accidentaly pulled my dress down and i didnt notice !!!!

Short of doing a midnight flit , and praying that no-one ever talks to DH or his family ever again ,im not going to escape this.

So aibu to refuse to ever do the school run again ? Blush

No, do it again and wear a t-shirt saying "next time, TELL me" or "marks out of ten, please" whichever takes yo' fancy.

I would like to point out that this happened to me at work once, on the way back from bf DD at nursery. Several women walked past, but the first man who saw me told me!

You've had 5 kids, are a 32F and can go braless?!?!?

My god I am severly jealous! Dont worry about people mocking you - it will just be because they are green with envy!!

ThePathanKhansWoman · 24/06/2011 20:55

Droves you are my hero!

mylovelymonster · 24/06/2011 20:59

ruddynorah · 24/06/2011 21:03

just go everyday with your tits out. soon no one will even bat an eye lid and it will only be remarkable if you turn up with them covered.

I have walked out to do the school run baring a breast due to quickly Bf DS2 before leaving, I didnt notice straightaway, I just thought I was looking particularly lovely, hence all the looks Blush

AntonDuBurk · 24/06/2011 21:06

Loving all the "how big are you?" questions. As if half the town wouldn'have noticed your maxi dress round your navel if you were a 32B Grin

hugeleyoutnumbered · 24/06/2011 21:09

oh gosh poor you, you are going to be the talk of the play ground for a while, you will have to brave it out on monday Grin

Sleepwhenidie · 24/06/2011 21:10

Very embarrassing....not quite as bad as the mnetter who went swimming at her local pool and forgot to put her bikini bottoms on Shock though. should be a mn classic, that one!

TheOriginalFAB · 24/06/2011 21:15

She didn't forget to put them on. She took them off!

TartyMcFarty · 24/06/2011 21:16

You, Droves and my friend who toldme her son and his friends blagged a free entry into Glastonbury dressed as security guards inspecting the boundary fencing have made my day after a totally shit day at work!

youarekidding · 24/06/2011 22:09

Sorrry but that is hilarious.

I think most of us have been there but the school run has to be the worst location. Roll neck jumper on Monday?

Oh and need a linky to the bikini bottoms thread too.

Awesomewellies .... nah , its not a pet headlouse ...its a spider that jumped out of a packet of grapes

That's why I would never have worn a boob tube/ strapless type clothes when with young children! Accident just waiting to happen! Grin

begonyabampot · 24/06/2011 22:20

I was diving on a boat once and whipped off my T-shirt to get quickly changed in front of everyone only to realise I had forgotten to put my bikini top on. Just had to brass it out and pretend I had meant it and was just being cosmopolitan. Unfortunately this was Turkey rather than the South of France where they don't really do boobs out! Also snapped my bikini top jumping into the sea during a large boat trip - was in the sea for ages trying to work out how to get back on the boat as Dp and I hadn't brought any T-shirts.

droves · 24/06/2011 22:22

Told best friend ..... she was about wetting herself with laughter ...

.. her words of wisdom are " Thank fuck your not on the P.T.A ! ".

Still not told dh ... trying to find the right moment ....its hard .

Especially as he suffers from "teenage boy humour" .
