Can't believe a woman wrote it. I thought that the Health Guidance website that its on is a serious health website, I think Heat magazine would be ashamed to write such drivel.

topiary

Is it a joke website? For porn stars?

mummyplonk · 13/06/2011 17:12

I cannot believe what I just read, and like you say by a woman too. Sad

Butterbur · 13/06/2011 17:13

Depressing, badly written, has nothing to do with health, and alot to do with making women feel they need to conform to porn star chic.

I've always felt that my fanjo was one area where I didn't need to worry about what I looked like. Apparently I was wrong.

Insomnia11 · 13/06/2011 17:14

"Health guidance" - complete rubbish.

Why does anyone need guidance on pubic hair, and how does it affect your health?

ElectricSoftParade · 13/06/2011 17:15

""this is only a basic level of pubic hair maintenance, and while it will prevent the pubic hair from looking off putting, nor will it look particularly exciting or inviting. It will just be? standard""

Really, I cannot think of anything to say at this. Speachless, for now...

Owlingate · 13/06/2011 17:16

Vom. Sceptical that a woman wrote it tbh.

nickelbabe · 13/06/2011 17:17

mine's completely untrimmed.
it doesn't look shiny enough to look greasy Confused

DH has never complained that he can't plough through it.

you're right, i can't believe it's written by a woman either (but having siad that, I can't imagine many men would even think about it, would they?)

Ormirian · 13/06/2011 17:17

Oh come on....it's a joke Grin

Isn't it?

I mean really .." When these hairs then get out of control on a woman it can actually be quite off putting for a man". It has to be a spoof.

please tell me it is

nickelbabe · 13/06/2011 17:18

Insomnia - agree.
I would have thought that having less or no pubic hair is more unhealthy thatn having loads - isn't it there to keep out infections etc?

DontCallMePeanut · 13/06/2011 17:18

Wow... She didn't beat about the bush...

SixtyFootDoll · 13/06/2011 17:19

Agree owlingate, I think a teenage boy wrote it.

PamBeesly · 13/06/2011 17:20

BS...I really hope this isn't funded with tax payers money

Its an "Incredibly sweet gesture" to do for your man.

Really? DH would think I was having A. A mid-life crisis or B. An affair.

And what would I lather up my shower gel on in the shower? (please tell me Im not the only one to do this) Blush

pumpernickel10 · 13/06/2011 17:23

Is this for real? My oh my :)

Insomnia11 · 13/06/2011 17:25

The next 'health' article is probably about surgically enhancing your body to look like 'his favourite pornos'. Hmm
Or the health benefits of pvc and fetish heels...

RogerMelly · 13/06/2011 17:25

what a twat

Riveninside · 13/06/2011 17:26

'his favourute porn film'!!!

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 17:29

Can't see what its got to do with health, but am a bit surprised by people who do no maintenance "down there".

I wouldn't dream of going unwaxed!!

Hmmm also not sure about the term "topiary" - sounds like I should be waxing into the shape of a chicken or something.... Hmm

Riveninside · 13/06/2011 17:33

Lots of people do 'no maintenance' beyond washing

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 17:33

I don't think I'd find that attractive if I were a guy...

catgirl1976 · 13/06/2011 17:34

Article is a bit off. Surely people do it mainly for themselves not for men, but to be fair my DH would complain if things were untidy - just as he might comment if I didnt brush the hair on my head for a week or have a shower. Its just basic hygiene and grooming. Don't do it because I aspire to be a porn star though..........

usualsuspect · 13/06/2011 17:35

My Dp doesn't give a toss

superjobeespecs · 13/06/2011 17:37

bugger not shaving i like a neat lady garden always have bloody hate pubes but to have some wench telling me what do and who for she can get to fuck my lady garden is for me and the OH only Grin

Butterbur · 13/06/2011 17:37

There's a certain irony in the part about getting a rash from a bearded partner.
