To think this article on pubic hair topiary is depressing

Can't believe a woman wrote it. I thought that the Health Guidance website that its on is a serious health website, I think Heat magazine would be ashamed to write such drivel.

topiary

We are all having a good chuckle at 'worried' here at chez riven.
Flyingonion, no caluused hairy feet despite doing feck all to them.

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:13

absolutely lissie, i agree with your post at 18:11

The brazilian thing isn't an every day occurence, its a kind of treat, and I'm just saying, I think its sexy and so do most some men....

OracleInaCoracle · 13/06/2011 18:14

I dont buy into the paedophillia references tbh., I do think that the media (not just the porn industry) has painted us a picture of what is sexy and what isnt though.

catgirl1976 · 13/06/2011 18:14

Do you wear make up timewasting?

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:14

for fucks sake TimeWasting this is not a thread about semantics...

OracleInaCoracle · 13/06/2011 18:15

I have to say, if I go swimming I will have a tidy up.

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:15

lucky you on the feet Riven, mine are straight from The Shire... Smile

MrsKarbonara · 13/06/2011 18:16

Oh dear I don't think I can't bear to get into the porn/pre-pubescent element of this, it is way too depressing.

However I cannot believe no one's yet mentioned the style that "hilariously looks like Hitler's moustache" ....?! Ho yes very sexy.

TimeWasting · 13/06/2011 18:16

Semantics is very important. It shapes how we think about the world.

Catgirl, nope. About twice this year. It felt rank, not sure I'll bother anymore. I feel much better about myself since I stopped wearing it regularly.

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:16

but the media always seems to decide what's sexy lissie...

tall, skinny, expensively dressed, long blonde hair. all beamed straight into your living room....

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:17

oh get over it TimeWasting, we're talking about whether brazilians are sexy, not about whether the term "baby soft" is insulting to babies or whatever you're on about...

Riveninside · 13/06/2011 18:18

I never wore pointy high shoes and thus have gorgeous uncalloused feet Grin

GreenEyesandHam · 13/06/2011 18:18

I'm a trimmer by choice but that article is outrageous.

Oh and mummyplonk no it's not just you Grin

TimeWasting · 13/06/2011 18:18

The porn industry is one of the bigger aspects of the media. Even if you don't watch it directly it all filters through the rest of the media.

TimeWasting · 13/06/2011 18:20

TFO, It's interesting that you chose that particular phrase to explain why it's sexy. You brought it up.

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:20

oh but me neither Riven. Its just too unfair. I blame flipflops personally.

Don't get the impression I'm some of Barbie doll by the way. I'm jeans/trainers/no make up all the way... Grin

And not always completely "done" down there due to lack of sex

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:21

ITS A SAYING TIMEWASTING.

HAVING BABY SOFT SKIN DOES NOT MEAN YOU LIKE TO FUCK BABIES!!

Does it help if I shout?

That's my final word on this rather pointless side issue.

TimeWasting · 13/06/2011 18:25

No, that's no help whatsoever, sorry.

juneybean · 13/06/2011 18:28

Not sure I like the idea of having a hairy vagina mind... do you think they mean mons??

northernrock · 13/06/2011 18:39

It does feel better shaved...but looks FREAKY!!
I changed my neices nappy the other day, and I don't really want to look like her. And that is what it looks like hairless, sorry, but it is.

catgirl1976 · 13/06/2011 18:43

hence a nice landing strip

SardineQueen · 13/06/2011 18:45

Fucking hell that article is outrageous yet a lot of people seem to be defending it Confused

It never fails to boggle me that people are genuinely upset and revolted by the idea of a woman leaving her pubes as nature intended. On these threads we always get the same, viz. if you don't strim your pubes to fuck or shave them all off you are a 1970s hippy lesbian who has crap sex and stinks. Get a grip people! It's just some frigging hair! It is not one of the 10 commandments that it has to be razed to the ground otherwise satan will come and take your soul!

Bonkers.

Naetha · 13/06/2011 18:47

Lol sorry but you all make me laugh.

Is shaving your legs channeling your DP's inner paedophile? Because noticeable leg hair and pubic hair develop around the same age.

Do you weave your luxuriant pubic hair into functional storage pouches?

I'm with onion on this - most of you are complete loons who totally overthink anything that might offend your feminist principles.

Feel free to insult my spelling, grammar, semantics, vocabulary, whatever. I don't care, you're still all loons.

OTheHugeManatee · 13/06/2011 18:47

Yawn. The whole site is SEO fodder to make the pages turn up in google searches and make an AdWords income. You're not supposed to actually read the articles.

TheFlyingOnion · 13/06/2011 18:48

I'm not upset or revolted. In fact, I couldn't give a toss what anyone else does to their pubic hair.

I just happen to have mine tidy, and think its attractive.

I think you're being a tad oversensitive, SardineQueen
