I too dont like the 'as long as its healthy' shit either. I know why people say that but as the mum of a child with SN its rankles with me.

I suppose they'd be disappointed with a child with a disability as well as the wrong sex too?

I once wrote apost on there with ''fuck" in it and they kindly 'd it for me automatically. How rude! That was the end of my short NM career.

Also a large proportion of women using the words 'bubs' and 'hubby' also 'hun' and 'yummymummy' wrong, just wrong.

What i will say though, contraversially, I am on the stepmums board on MN a lot and we often get a fair bit of stick. Well... the step mums board over there is outrageous even turned my stomach and I am wicked step mother of the year!

Just went and had a look at the thread over on NM and am laughing my socks off that the thread was started to complain about MN and ended by most of the contributors saying actually NM is fine, but I prefer MN. What a way to shoot yerself in the foot..............

I'm not suggesting people don't wish for a healthy baby, yes we'd all prefer to have a healthy baby but the "as long as it's healthy nothing else should matter" line is what gets me. I don't care if people have a preference for a boy or girl, it's a legitimate preference but that line is horrid!

Well,here is my 2p worth as a NM orphan here....

I joined NM's over a year ago,and for the first 6 months,I loved it. There were a few like-minded people who could debate adult-like,and had a sense of humour. Then it got bad,around election time,and the Benefit Bashers and other Bashers were in full swing,and being the scummy Socialist that I am,well,I nearly got banned LOADS of times (one particular bitch mod hated me). Then I noticed all the like-minded people left one by one (I presume to here),and I didn't log on for months.
Went back recently...and promptly joined up here

Oh dear I got even more stick when I was gone! Anyone want to help?
