Princess Diana-do you believe she was murdered?

ChampersPampers · 08/05/2011 11:43

I often meet people who are convinced she was 'bumped off'.
Wondered if it's only small percentage of peoples view or do alot of people believe this so called murder to be true?

OP posts:

conspiracy theorists, all so so stupid and misguided.convoluted tall tales and nose tapping about mass conspiracy in high places

ivykaty44 · 08/05/2011 12:59

I don't know

I do think it was odd that 14 cctv cameras that evening were not working - but that is the only thing that I did think was odd about that night.

Nothing is going to bring her back though and two boys lost their mum

happybubblebrain · 08/05/2011 13:00

In my opinion 911 was not the Americans - that's truly stupid and as bad as saying the holocaust never happened.

Man landing on the moon - almost certainly true; if not then it's an amazing hoax.

Diana murdered - most likely. The Royals have been bumping people off for hundreds of years, why would they stop this century, they might have to be more discrete now, but I wouldn't put it past them.

NorbertDentressangle · 08/05/2011 13:01

All this conspiracy theory stuff is going to be raising its ugly head again as Al Fayad has part-funded a film directed by Keith Allen about it all.

Its about to be shown (or is currently just been released) outside of the UK but has been heavily edited by the censors here so a large chunk of it is missing.

Apparently Keith Allen wanted it to be shown for the first time on the day of the Royal Wedding.

I wasn't sure why Keith Allen was so involved in it though? Confused

BTW all of the above was gleaned from some newspaper article I read, I'm not an avid follower of the whole conspiracy thing

It's like saying "Why did the Kennedys have such terrible things happen to them as a family?" Well the answer is because the lives they led as a family: in politics during a volatile period, serving in wars, being high-profile enough to pilot their own private plane made them peculiarly vulnerable to, respectively: assassination, death in action, crashing a plane. Sad, but there you have it.

Diana's lifestyle became such that she ended up relying for her personal safety on some dubious playboy with a driver who turned out to be pissed and a security man who didn't even notice.

I might say that as the removal of her HRH status led to the withdrawal of her police protection, which would have been much more efficient than Fayed's "protection" turned out to be (you wouldn't imagine a Met Police driver being pissed behind the wheel), it could therefore be argued that the removal of Royal privileges contributed directly to her death. But she had a brain of her own, she chose to rely on Fayed's security. She chose not to put her seatbelt on. Shame.

MigratingCoconuts · 08/05/2011 13:02

no....

And, yes, we do have the technology to build space stations on the moon by now. (we did that in space ages ago!)...its just that it costs billions to do and a government would really need to know why they were bothering before committing to this. The US ran out of good ideas for going to the moon in the early 70's.

Why do we need to waste so much time inventing ever weirder conspiracy stories? Is the world not interesting enough for you already???

GypsyMoth · 08/05/2011 13:03

Lynettescavo......bit of a claim there

FabbyChic · 08/05/2011 13:03

You only have to be an engineer to know that it is not possible to take off from the moon.

If you do your research on 9/11 there is plenty of evidence to show that some of the things they said happened is not physically possible from the photo's and video footages of the events at the time. Do you truly believe that passports ended up on the pavement? Seriously?

Do you think that a plane could actually cause the towers to just fall down? When they were structured to withstand earthquakes? Hmmm seriously.

I guess for some it is easy for them to just believe what they see without question.

For others they look outside the box.

MigratingCoconuts · 08/05/2011 13:05

You only have to be an engineer to know that it is not possible to take off from the moon.

I take it from this that you are an engineer of the right expertise to make such a claim then...

Because that's just plain bollocks...

TheOriginalFAB · 08/05/2011 13:06

I don't think she was murdered but I do think it was strange she didn't wear her seatbelt and wasn't made to have security considering she was mother of the future King. I feel once you become a parent you should be more careful with your own well being.

I also dreamt she died at the time she died Shock.

valiumredhead · 08/05/2011 13:07

Man landing on the moon - almost certainly true; if not then it's an amazing hoax

Well, not that amazing really, have you watched any footage recently? It's all very Pinewood studio/Blue Peter/ egg box Grin

GypsyMoth · 08/05/2011 13:08

fabbychic is trying to come across as being superior.....

Chil1234 · 08/05/2011 13:09

No. I think if you want to murder someone who had already confessed to mental health issues, eating disorders and at least once suicide attempt, you could engineer something that was far more guaranteed to result in a fatality than a car accident. I feel rather sorry for Al Fayed because all of the rumours in the story about preganancy, engagement and wanting to blame it all on a 'homicidal' Duke of Edinburgh or the security services stem entirely from his grief, and not from anything more concrete. The driver was his employee, deliberately selected by him to drive the couple, and that must be a terrible responsibilty for a father to bear.

LynetteScavo · 08/05/2011 13:11

"some dubious playboy with a driver who turned out to be pissed and a security man who didn't even notice".

That is all your opinion, BalloonSlayer, and not fact.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 08/05/2011 13:12

Yet more insightful posting from Fabbychic Hmm

Chil1234 · 08/05/2011 13:13

"Do you think that a plane could actually cause the towers to just fall down?" ... I was talking to an engineer friend that morning and he predicted that the weight of the burning floors above the point of impact, dropping down hard on the rest of the building would result in the structure collapsing. Earthquakes shake buildings from the base... not from the top down...

LynetteScavo · 08/05/2011 13:13

Apart from the pissed, bit. The driver was undoubtedly over the limit.

And how the hell do I hide a thread?????

edam · 08/05/2011 13:14

I don't think the fact that someone not wearing a seatbelt died in a car crash is that surprising.

But I did think it was odd that the Royal family was so keen to claim her body given they'd removed her Royal status. Why was it Charles who went to collect her body? He was her ex husband who had no legal status at all. Should have been her brother or sisters or anyone she had appointed as next of kin.

FreudianSlipper · 08/05/2011 13:14

no i do not think she was murdered

though i do not think the royal family (or those around them) are not incapable of ruining lives, she was not given any peace and if w
she were still alive would not be. just not sure in these days they would go as far as murdering people

i believe the moon landings to be a hoax too, russia were far advanced of america in their technology, the technology was pretty basic to what it is now but they have been unable to do so for 40 years though plenty of attempts have been made, does not really add up

bruffin · 08/05/2011 13:16

Fabby everyone of the moon conspiracy theories are easily dismissed. They are still collecting data from the refractors left on the moon

jellyvodkas · 08/05/2011 13:17

So sad whatever happened. I dont think she was murdered though...god, hope not. Disgusting if so. I loved Princess Diana...she was great. As for Charles,,,dont ask.
So sad that those two lovely young men have lost their mother. :(

carminaburana · 08/05/2011 13:18

FC - why would the Americans blow themselves up? What was the reasoning behind it?

(>

dolldaggabuzzbuzz · 08/05/2011 13:19

My very first thoughts on hearing of her tragic death was MURDER! However , I have since become convinced that it was an accident.

TragicallyHip · 08/05/2011 13:22

Fabby I think it was the heat generators that caused the towers to go down.

I don't think the Americans would do this themselves but there is a theory that they knew and turned a blind eye..

And no I don't think Diana was murdered

noblegiraffe · 08/05/2011 13:23

Not possible to take off from the moon? Is it made of superglue?

What an odd thing to say.
