I love you all, this thread has really cheered me up. I am living in ME and I get a lot of stick for not being racist, not thinking I am superior because I am white and, the absolute crime, not being a botoxed size 10 who can make beautiful (if any) cakes. Thank you and have a lovely weekend. By the way, I would kill for an Ikea or Tesco up the road. I do have a brown leather sofa though.

BeenBeta · 26/02/2011 08:29

Loolah - we have real wooden floors too (plus a manky bit of chipped laminate in the office. I know that ignorance of the law is no defence - but I didnt know it was a MN rule either. Confused

Can anyone explain?

BeenBeta · 26/02/2011 08:38

Bleach! We use bleach. Shock

KaraStarbuckThrace · 26/02/2011 08:50

Jasminetom - I only wish my Ikea was closer! DH doesn't though Grin

I don't like BigMacs - I prefer Quarterpounders with cheese, yum! Also like the chicken legend with salsa.

I think Mayo is the devil's own food.

And I don't eat any kind of fish or seafood. The smell of raw fish makes me want to puke.

Grandmasterpudge · 26/02/2011 11:50

What is Boden?

Have just read about the mooncups - i feel ill!! And then i've seen that people put them in their dishwasher . I'm not squeemish but "i just pour it down the toilet" is something i don't want to contemplate.

outnumbered2to1 · 26/02/2011 14:24

if we are travelling back from relatives later on in the day i will give my two purple fruit shoots at lunchtime cos it stops them falling asleep in the car....... Blush (and yes i have tried sing-a-long tapes, playing car colour bingo and all those other car games for long journeys)

muppety · 26/02/2011 14:49

I have a toilet brush. The ultimate MN sin!

SunshineisSorry · 26/02/2011 14:55

having a toilet brush is a sin? blimey, i must be really bad then, i have two - both of them cost 50p each from tesco, that way i can bin them after a couple of uses. Do mnetters only clean the bog with a nailbrush then?

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 26/02/2011 14:58

First I've heard of the toiletbrush too. Eeep, I have one (like sunshine a 50p one that goes in the bin)!!

DS had jar food for lunch, even though I am at home!

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 26/02/2011 15:00

Well I'm the worst of all.

I don't mind ear-piercing on babies. In fact, I think it looks cute.

So ner.

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 26/02/2011 15:00

[faints]

NickNacks · 26/02/2011 15:11

I may have the worst!

I don't shower every day - in fact some days i do the school run and come home and get back in my 'jamies till 3pm.

My bedroom is worse than a teenagers! I just shut the door in it!

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 26/02/2011 15:16

NickNacks , do you have a floordrobe? Me too!! :)

And I dont shower every day. Sometimes (before maternity leave) I wouldnt shower all weekend!! Grin

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 26/02/2011 15:25

I don't shower at all! Not since the electrician came and fainted at the wiring in the electric shower and condemned it. (See Property thread for my current bathroom renovation obsession)

(disclaimer - I do have a bath but I am not exactly daily ATM! NB: I work from home so nobody cares...)

Trinaluce · 26/02/2011 15:30
  • I give DD fruitshoots for convenience (less likely to spill if we're in the car)
  • I shout at my family
  • DD had yoghurts at 4 months as mummy milk just wasn't enough any more
  • I LOVE McD's and KFC, DD has had both
  • DD loves bacon
  • I have a slanket (snuggie actually but let's not split hairs) and I LOVE it
  • We have a large flat screen tv
  • We're getting laminate flooring put down at the end of March because the dogs have chewed most of the carpet
  • I leave DD alone with the dogs
  • I don't even know what a mooncup is
NickNacks · 26/02/2011 16:06

Oh yes Floordrobe Love it! That's exactly what I have!! allsquareknickersnofurcoat Glad to hear you have one too!

I'm on Mat leave atm so enjoying the lax attitude to hygiene while i can! Grin

NickNacks · 26/02/2011 16:10

TondelayoSchwarzkopf I also work from home (when not on mat leave) but unfortunately I have people come to my home so they do care a bit. Blush

catinboots · 26/02/2011 16:13

I've got a friend who is prefers Netmums to Mumsnet.

RIZZ0 · 26/02/2011 16:16

A "friend" eh cat? Wink

How do you feel about tickers then hmmm?

jasminetom · 26/02/2011 16:36

Toilet brush? I am embarrased to say I haven't cleaned my own toilet for 5 years.

MackerelOfFact · 26/02/2011 17:43

My DCs have Fruit Shoots if they want them. Moreover, I developed a taste for them myself when I used to work in a cafe and could help myself to them for free - orange and peach is the nicest! Grin (Surely they're just squash though? Sure they're not nutritionally brilliant, but I think the hatred of them is unjustified TBH).

I shop in Iceland at least once a week.

We own several items of Argos flat-pack furniture.

I go 2-3 weeks between bedsheet changes.

This morning I depilated my entire ladygarden.

I couldn't give the tiniest shit whether someone else's baby is formula or breast fed.

IMissSleep · 26/02/2011 18:00

Some days I don't get dressed... or brush teeth...(hides head in shame... goes to brush teeth... :))

The3Bears · 26/02/2011 18:14

My house looks like a next catalouge but I love it Grin

I love boden kids clothes though :) hate greggs but love mcdonalds :)
Ds sometimes wants fruitshoots but the h20 ones, but atm he loves Ribena :)

SunshineisSorry · 26/02/2011 18:23

Ribena trumps fruitshoots!!
