I also have laminate floors. And a 40 inch TV. And I shop at Asda. What does all this mean?

DurhamDurham · 25/02/2011 16:20

I am leaving the girls home alone tonight whilst I go and see a Michael Buble tribute act (as if the real thing isn't cheesy enough!). To make things worse I am leaving some money so the girls can order a pizza from the local (bit grubby) fast food joint.

I am a disgrace.

TryingVeryHard · 25/02/2011 16:21

I gave my DS jars of baby food at weaning stage. Lots. (but only organic ones if that makes it any better).

welshbyrd · 25/02/2011 16:27

looking for the brown leather sofa club please? can I join if the sofa is a corner suite?

This morning, me and the tribe had a full english weatherspoons brekkie, aswell as guzzling strawberry fruitshoots {blush} baby was so full she conked out 10 mins after leaving the place. Infact we are still full, so tea this evening is a sandwich, mango, and yoghurt

Bought ridiculous amount of fruit and veg seeds from the 99p shop, and £12 for a plastic greenhouse, to grow them

We are hobnob lovers too Blush, kids love choc chip cookies.

chipmonkey · 25/02/2011 16:28

are wooden floors a sin now?

I have used CC.
And the Naughty Step.

We don't have Greggs here in Ireland but when visiting the UK, I almost screamed in excitement on seeing one!

welshbyrd · 25/02/2011 16:28

Im so ashamed

welshbyrd · 25/02/2011 16:30

The sausage and beans melts in Greggs are to die for [so Ive been told Blush ] chipmonkey.

DurhamDurham · 25/02/2011 16:32

welshbird we often sneak into Weatherspoons for breakfast, it's delcious and v good value. We don't tell the in-laws though as they are liable to call Social Services for taking the girls into a pub on a morning.

TryingVeryHard · 25/02/2011 16:36

Well, I can't remember the details but on a thread I came across a while ago, there were some particular items frowned upon by some MNs
I think the brown faux-leather sofas, 4x4s and laminate flooring were some of the "offenders"
Maybe one of the more seasoned MNs can kindly link back to that thread if they remeber what it was called?

TryingVeryHard · 25/02/2011 16:38

... needless to say it was all tongue-in-cheek?

ENormaSnob · 25/02/2011 16:38

Meant wood effect laminate Blush

mummylouise · 25/02/2011 16:38

i have a 4x4, a 42 inch tv, brown leather corner sofa, wooden floors and let my kids have sweets, bikkies and fruit shoots. what do i win - membership to greggs????

DurhamDurham · 25/02/2011 16:40

mummylouise · 25/02/2011 16:43

Zippylovesgeorge · 25/02/2011 16:43

Oh god :(

Brown leather sofa - yup
4x4 - yup
Big tv - yup
Greggs sausages rolls - yup - would sell my granny for one Grin
Kids been on half term and have consumed just about everything including chips/crisps/cola/chocolate/biscuits - oddly loads of brocoli left Wink

LisasCat · 25/02/2011 16:45

What's the thinking on a cream leather sofa? Can I mock you brown owners, or am I even lower in the hierarchy than you?

And DD has something from the treat shelf every day. I'm going with the theory that Kathleen Turner's character in War of the Roses used (and choosing to forget how that turned out). For those who've not seen it, she thought that denying her children sweets would turn it into an issue and they'd crave them, then end up obese. Cue the next scene, set about 10 years later, when she had obese children. Oh and in the end she and her husband (Michael Douglas) killed each other. So a delightful film by which to set my family life aspirations!

NinkyNonker · 25/02/2011 16:47

Dd and I wear boden and I don't read the Daily Fail. I would say that being 'sooo' Daily Mail was a very anti MN/Boden thing to do, given how much the Dm is derided around here. If people laugh at us, well, more fool them.

I have a brown leather sofa, but it was very expensive and now very battered, is that good or bad?

I also have all wooden floors apart from flag stone kitchen floor, again very old and very battered.

Tis a mine field all this...

welshbyrd · 25/02/2011 16:48

just got rid of the wood effect laminate, replaced with carpet [got sick of mopping it] but still have the brown leather corner suite
Have not got a 42inch tv, got a 32inch flat thing though
Have not got a 4x4, but have quite a large car,
Am a persistent offender regarding Greggs, Witherspoon, McDonalds, and the chippy

Again persistent offender with cookies, fruit shoots, all crap really Blush

Persistent offender in the 99p shop, well not the crap stuff but fruit shoots are cheap there

SeeJaneKick · 25/02/2011 16:49

God it annoys me! Anybody who REALLY judges someone for their brown leather sofa or their flooring choices has absolutely no class at all.

The classiest people don't notice such things and if they did they wouldn't care enough to judge anyway.

omletta · 25/02/2011 16:49

Weve been to Greggs for lunch.

Ive got a brown leather sofa (two actualy)

I work full time (and then some)

DS loves fruit shoots and biscuits and chocolate....

Honeybee79 · 25/02/2011 16:49

MissVerinder - what's wrong with a brown leather sofa?! I just got such a sofa delivered today . . .

oopslateagain · 25/02/2011 16:52

Dd and I enjoy going in Greggs for a nice sausage roll each. With brown sauce.

Blush

She likes froot shoots too.

welshbyrd · 25/02/2011 16:55

Honeybee, me and my brown leather sofa have a fab relationship. Hope yours,is as comfy Smile

Mummy2Bookie · 25/02/2011 16:55

We shop at evil tesco
We buy oven chips
I eat Choc everyday
We own lots of cars

TryingVeryHard · 25/02/2011 16:55

SeeJaneKick please don't get annoyed nobody here REALLY judges anyone based on their sofa.
I did say it's all tongue in cheek didn't I?
