my old sofa's wooden base used to need banged in with the hammer every day. i left it behind when i moved and the ppl who now live there still have it - after 2 years. it was falling apart!!!!!

I think it was the plastic leather effect sofas, rather than leather ones?

I have a brown suade corner sofa.

And a 42" flat screen.

I wear fake tan almost all the time.

I have a lot of pushchairs.

I put DS in his bouncer in front of the TV while I mumsnet do housework

I have TWO leather sofas, both from DFS.
DC's had chippy chips and ketchup for tea last night.
DS runs away if offered fruit.
DD(3.8)has been known to watch 2 films back to back.

Whats wrong with laminate flooring ?
Its hygenic , no where for dustmites fo live.It can be washed , its can withstand playdough/moonsand/posterpaint.

Carpets stink. spend most of time cleaning the rotten things. .... have you walked on carpet thas more than 6 months old in white socks ? try it . you will return to hard floors.

Gregs is my friend. IF dd4 refuses to eat , then its almost guarenteed she will scoff a gregs sausage roll in 5 seconds flat. Or a Happy Meal from McD's.
I let the dc watch cartoons on tv before dinner.

droves I hate it cause it gets so dirty so quickly and you can see the dirt. At least carpet hides it, even if it is minging

Am working on getting my daddy to buy me some carpet, trying to persuade him it will be for his darling, doted on grandson rather than me!! Safer when hes toddling or something.....

...we also have almost every disney film ever made on dvd .... and dreamworks cartoons....and various cartoons made for tv on dvd.
.... and tvs & dvds in every room except kichen and bathroom. (dd4 has portable dvd player for emergences like watching shreck whilst in the bath).

3 computers , and various games machines.
All the children have handheld games (nintendos , psp's).

our house loooks like a cross between currys and toys r us.

I let my kids watch DVDs in the car, even on short trips.
I don't sweat about salt in foods.
I only make 4 or 5 different meals on rotation, inc pasta & pesto at least twice a week.

I am however a fast food snob and mine have never eaten in one, (pizza hut doesn't count)

I once parked outside a Boden clearance sale and as I got my bag out of the car an empty fruitshoot bottle rolled out.
There was a collective gasp of horror!
The shame was awful, I had to leave town!

I love Gregg's sausage rolls (I don't think DS (3.2) has had one).

DS has had a happy meal. He doesn't have fruitshoots as he only likes water.

We have a 40" flatscreen TV and we are getting Sky+HD on Monday!

I love Top Gear. And Harry Potter. But not Twilight, though have read them all, just can't see what all the fuss is about.

Kara , Sky+HD is the best invention EVER. You will regret it when you don't have time to leave the house as you have so much crap recorded!
