Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

No news yet on BP yet valium so hopefully thats a good sign . If i don't hear anything by Thursday ill phone GP & ask for the results . Don't want to be a PITA Grin
Are you enjoying DH & Ds being back home ? Smile

fiveisanawfullybignumber · 01/02/2011 17:24

Sorry to hear you're having BP probs Elmo. My mum came off her BP tabs recently due to a possible side effect but BP shot back up so she's on a new one now. Do I take it that this is non pregnancy related? Mine is normaly so low that I'm almost clinicly dead when pregnant, except last DC (no 5) when I suddenly got eclampsia. Shocked everyone.
Cakes all round again by the way.Grin

elmofan · 01/02/2011 18:08
Grin

Unfortunately my High BP is because of my kidney disease {according to GP anyway}

I'm falling apart at the grand old age of 36 Grin
Yummmmmy cakes [munch munch munch]

CheerfulYank · 01/02/2011 18:14

Mmm, cake! Especially wheat free! Delicious.

Yes, it's a fringe...actually I think it is the same haircut you got recently tea. I will try to get a pic on my profile thing so you can see.

I'll link you the thread. The OP and I have actually been PM-ing a bit and we've both apologized, so everything's fine now. :o

Miss you all, wish I had more time to "talk". I might actually have functioning internet at my house soon and then I suspect I will do nothing but. :)

CheerfulYank · 01/02/2011 18:15

here

CheerfulYank · 01/02/2011 18:16

And :o at you slapping anyone Elmo...we'll have to keep a list and then if gomummy and I ever make it over there it'll be a right old slap-a-thon! :o

elmofan · 01/02/2011 18:21

Grin love the idea of a "Slap List" Grin

Can i slap & then run really fast away ?
Grin

gomummygo · 01/02/2011 20:35

LOL @ slap-a-thon Cheerful! Would work out ok, Elmo, as I'd not slap first but am excellent backup when you run! Grin

Glad it worked out OK with the OP on other thread though Cheerful, was truthfully hoping it was a windup when I read the thread. :(

What is everyone planning for Family Day later this month? Or is Family Day everywhere? Blush

Glad you've made up with the other poster Smile

OP posts:
gomummygo · 02/02/2011 13:16

OK, so I am now guessing that it is not everywhere! Blush

Cheerful & Valium - Family Day here is in the third week in February, falls on the 21st this year, a holiday for some but not all. Also, I think it has different names in different provinces. Ironically, we usually don't see family. Our new tradition (only a few years old) is to go and visit our "adopted" families....older couples with no children or none that are close enough to come for family day. It's a really nice day for us, I am really looking forward to it. Also, it is another excuse to bake! Grin

elmofan · 02/02/2011 15:45

No Family days here either gomummy but it sounds like a lovely day to have Smile
What are you planning to bake ?
Grin

*valium did you survive the trip to Tesco's lol?

Cheerful i want to see your new haircut too Smile

gomummygo · 02/02/2011 15:56

Elmo :) For the couple we're visiting in the morning (brunch-ish) we're planning to bring a strawberry/rhubarb/almond bread with a crunchy topping, then stopping at home and for the couple in the afternoon we're bringing them a portobello layered parmesan mashed potato thing. Tastes much better than it sounds, lol! You're welcome to recipies if either interest you.
