Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Aw yeah they all had fun on the playstation Smile I'm sitting here exhausted with a large glass of wine Grin
How was your day ?

valiumredhead · 29/01/2011 21:07

That sounds a great party, well done you! I'm ok thanks, bit quiet here this weekend as dh has taken ds to stay with his parents. I can't go as my leg aches really badly being in the car for longer than about an hour, and I seize up like an old lady Grin They are back tomorrow so will be back to normal again! Saw a friend today and had lunch and tomorrow I'm having coffee with a friend so having nice 'me' time. last night I stayed up til gone 2am as I knew I could lie in this morning. It was utter bliss Grin

elmofan · 29/01/2011 21:20

OH i am very Envy of the "me" time you lucky lucky lady Smile i can barely stay up past 10pm these days , i usually go to bed at the same time as ds Blush .
We are up early in the morning as ds has a special mass to attend in preparation for his confirmation in April so no lie on's for us this weekend .

valiumredhead · 29/01/2011 21:23

Oh I remember getting ready to be confirmed - special times :)

I rarely get me time as dh works really long shifts and lots of weekends too - so I am savouring every minute, but at the same time will be delighted when they are home IYKWIM?

elmofan · 29/01/2011 21:36

IKWYM my Dh works shifts too & only gets one weekend off each month Smile so we tend to plan family days out for those weekends .

Teaandcakeplease · 29/01/2011 21:40

CheerfulYank · 30/01/2011 02:17

Mmmm, pass the bottle this way. Oooh I love, love, love Poppy, Tiredmum! I think flower names are beautiful, and Poppy is a little more spunky-sounding than Rosie, Lily, etc.

Aww, happy birthday to Elmo's DS! Give him a hug for me :o

Poor Valium's friend, floods are such a nasty business.

Teaandcakeplease · 30/01/2011 07:19

Floods are indeed a nasty business, your poor friend. Lucky to have someone like you to help though.

All good here Elmo. It's Ex H's birthday today and he's coming by later to see the kids who have a present and card for him and a cake for us to sing to him whilst he blows out the candles with DD's help Smile So it should be a nice day.

valiumredhead · 30/01/2011 13:30

Morning! I am washing all the towels we used yesterday in the flood - PILES of them Grin

Must think about what to cook later for when ds and dh come back - I am starting to get used to eating when I want and pleasing myself and it's only been a weekend Shock Wink

Awwwwwww that's so nice for the kids tea - when my parents divorced I rarely got to see my dad, I would've loved that .

Right, off to tackle ds's rugby kit......... I may be some time...................

elmofan · 30/01/2011 14:32

valiumredhead · 30/01/2011 15:27

CheerfulYank · 30/01/2011 21:44

I wish I'd won the lottery! You will be the first to know. I'll come surprise you! :o

Well, I feel I well and truly belong on the Bench today because I got called an asshole on a thread last night! :o

Tiredmumno1 · 30/01/2011 22:00

Lol cheerful what thread was that

aww elmo your ds is so polite, it sounds like u had a lovely time

hope all u benchers are well Smile

gomummygo · 30/01/2011 22:53

Shock Cheerful, I can't believe it! Someone missed the boat as you are one of the nicest MNers I've "met" yet!

Elmo DS' birthday sounded great, well done you! How sweet of him to post his thanks!

How did XH's birthday go, Tea? May I just say once more...you are SO impressive.

I really like Poppy, Tiredmum. Cheerful hit the nail on the head perfectly with "spunky." I don't know any personally but the name makes me picture a very charming little girl for some reason.

So nice of you to help with the flood, Valium, water makes such a terrible mess. Hope the damage was no too great.

Well it is time for dinner/supper/whatever you call it, so must be off. Hope you've all had a great weekend! :)

Tiredmumno1 · 30/01/2011 23:45

Aww thats nice of you to say about the name gomummy and cheerful, and everyone actually Smile

the kids have been a bit crazy and doing my head in this weekend gomummy, i have no idea why, thankfully they are now sleeping

Teaandcakeplease · 31/01/2011 09:41

Yesterday was a lovely day with the ex. The cake was lush and much silliness with balloons too.

Cheerful I'm shocked at you being called an asshole, what on earth warranted that? By the way what do you mean by "bangs" on your fb status Confused

OP posts:
gomummygo · 31/01/2011 13:54

Morning everyone!

Aww Tiredmum, you're probably getting a bit tired and uncomfortable by now?

Tea that is so nice that it went well. Oh and what we call "bangs" you call a "fringe" from what I've figured out from MN.

Grin Cheerful, I've had the bangs for a couple of years now for the same reason. I bet it looks good on you.
