Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Oh gomummy that must have been awful , i am wondering though if he might of had some sort of MH problems Sad .

valiumredhead · 15/03/2011 17:37

Staples can turn in on themselves and get 'lodged' - some were really hard to get out of my ankle. I cannot begin to think how sore they'd be on your abdomen! Shock

gomummygo · 15/03/2011 17:37

Who really knows, suppose it is possible Elmo.

So what are everyone's plans for St. Patrick's Day?

Other than colcannon potatoes (should I be saying bubble and squeak?), I need some dinner ideas for Friday Elmo!

valiumredhead · 15/03/2011 17:37

elmo I think it;s probably safe to presume he had! Grin

valiumredhead · 15/03/2011 17:39

Hasn't St Pat's day come and gone? There was a big parade on London on Sunday?

elmofan · 15/03/2011 17:51

lol Grin Valium and Gomummy well he certainly had issues of some sort .

gomummy well the traditional Paddy's day dinner is
Corned Beef & Cabbage & mashed potato's Smile but we are going out for dinner so i'm not cooking .

Maryz has started a thread a few days ago for all of the Irish mumsnetters to vote on a paddy's day emoticon
so far its a choice of a shamrock or a pint of Guinness
Smile

valium paddy's day is on Thursday 17th Smile

elmofan · 15/03/2011 17:53

Oh and green milkshakes for the dc's are a must have on Paddy's Day Grin

valiumredhead · 15/03/2011 17:56

elmo pretty shocking I didn't know that considering my dh is Irish Grin

elmofan · 15/03/2011 18:04

tsk tsk valium Wink Now you can surprise your DH on thursday & cook him an irish dinner or put up Green / white / orange balloons Grin

DD has to go into school tomorrow looking like a leprachaun dressed in green , white & orange Grin

gomummygo · 15/03/2011 18:58

Grin Elmo, at least your DD has school as an excuse...DS and I will be dressed like that on the 17th just for fun! Good thing I mentioned this though as I thought the 17th was Friday! We had a holiday last weekend and now my days are all messed up. Always hard to tell when the 17th itself is around here anyway as it is a week long celebration that started last night!

Then that is what we shall have for dinner. DH will be delighted as I rarely make him cabbage of any sort.

elmofan · 15/03/2011 19:31

Just getting dd to bed then i can do a link to maryz's thread
if you like gomummy Smile

gomummygo · 15/03/2011 19:46

Link would be great Elmo, I've not found it! :)

CheerfulYank · 15/03/2011 20:25

I'm making cookies with green frosting for Paddy's day :) Some friends will be coming over for a Glee marathon; nothing too exciting. I might do green milkshakes with DS.

I just got my hair dyed ( just , like twenty minutes ago) and it's very dark! It'll take me awhile to get used to it; I feel like a blonde! :)

elmofan · 15/03/2011 20:37

hiya cheerful Smile

Aw i am Sad none of you can meet jamie for proper cuddles

I am annoyed at the hosp for not discussing it before hand, i just assumed it'd be a stitch like last time

On the plus side we found a house woo hoo

elmofan · 15/03/2011 20:52

Oh congratulations on the house Tiredmum Smile but do you have lots of help from people in real to do packing etc ? I really wish i could help you out & get sneaky cuddles of baby Jamie Smile

Teaandcakeplease · 15/03/2011 21:11

I had staples in my head when I passed out whilst pregnant with DD in the bath/ shower and fell out and cut my head open. Ouch! Poor you tiredmum. I'm close enough for cuddles Grin Wink If Tiredmum can fit me in sometime Wink

Paddy's day ideas sound great; not convinced my kids would eat that dinner though, fussy old things they are.

CheerfulYank · 16/03/2011 15:06

Oh that does sound like a nice place tiredmum! :) Good luck with the move, wish I could help. When will you be there again? I was going to send you some mail, but I don't want to if it won't get to you! :) Am Envy that tea will get to see you and Little Jamie!

I'm getting the internet at my house today! Prepare to be neglected, DS! :o Then I can show you all pictures of my new dark hair...and sign online petitions to save my favorite show, Fringe. Blush

Tiredmumno1 · 16/03/2011 16:32

Lol cheerful i look forward to seeing the pics

We will start movin things on the 26th, so hopefully within 2 weeks we will be there, wish you were all here, you really are a fab bunch of ladies and i am happy that we all found each other, i love our chats

gomummygo · 16/03/2011 16:52

@ Tea for proximity to Jamie-Cuddles!

Tiredmum I have the same request as Cheerful (Grin not surprised at all!), wondering if mail can be sent to your current address or if there is a new one it should go to? Really wish I could be there to help with the move. And not just to make lists and box things in an obsessively organized fashion either . Grin

Cheerful I can't wait to see the dark hair! Congrats on the internet access from home, will be much handier for you I imagine.

elmofan · 16/03/2011 19:51

tiredmum Ive sent you pm Smile I too was hoping to send a little something for baby Jamie Smile
It might be safer to send it to your new address as post from here can be very slow .
cheerful ooh i want to see photos of your dark hair too Smile
gomummy are you all set to celebrate St Paddy's Day tomorrow ? Smile

Teaandcakeplease · 16/03/2011 19:56

Oh yay! I could leave ExH with the kids and come and help you clean, unpack or watch the baby if things still need doing after a couple of weeks or so Tiredmum x
