Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Ah no tiredmum, can the doctor give you anything?

I was thinking of you earlier, 6 more days & baby will
be here please god Smile
Dh is sitting down stairs waiting to see if they try anything
else, i'm in bed as i've been feeling sick all day.

gomummygo · 01/03/2011 22:53

Oh Elmo, I am so sorry to hear that. You must be at your wits end. :( I so wish I could do anything to help. Agree with Tiredmum's suggestion of a camera, there are some affordable ones on ebay, fairly easy to install. Know that doesn't help with how you all must be feeling though.

Oh no Tiredmum, what poor timing to catch a sickness bug for you too. Less than a week until the big day, sending you lots of good vibes!

Tiredmumno1 · 01/03/2011 22:54

Is horrid eh elmo, cant have anything at the mo, i am starting to feel better though, so fingers crossed

I know its starting to go quick now, i found out baby is bum down today, so the c sec is the best choice at mo

Tiredmumno1 · 01/03/2011 22:58

Thanks gomummy,

Sorry to hear about the snow, it must be terrible for you

CheerfulYank · 02/03/2011 18:20

What is going on with that horrible little shit boy, Elmo ?! I mean, how did he end up like this? What are his parents like? I would be so beyond mortified if my DS ever pulled anything like this! I'm thinking of you-boxing sounds like a great idea, good luck with everything!

Tiredmum hope you're feeling better soon, I can't wait for Baby to get here! (As I imagine you can't :))

Gomummy we are expecting snow too...supposedly two huge storms by St. Paddy's. I love winter but have had it now. It's March! Enough's enough.

Poor little DS tea! :( It's always sad when they get hurt when they're so little.

Yes, what is St. David's?!

valiumredhead · 02/03/2011 18:52

Elmo - the time has come to involve the police, seriously this is beyond a joke and I bet it's far worse than what you have posted. To put it into perspective, a year 4 boy at ds's old school whacked another boy round the face with a hard lunch box, there had been a few 'incidents' previously too. The Head hauled them into her office and the next day they were in there again and she had called the community policeman and the kids' parents, because as far as she was concerned IT WAS ASSAULT, and she wanted to make it REALLY clear that this was not to escalate.

It worked.

valiumredhead · 02/03/2011 18:57

Tea car seems your best option imo. Do you really need a monitor? Could you just not check every 20 mins or so? Pretend it's the 1950's before monitors were invented Wink

We stayed with my parents in Greece when ds was 18 months - huge house with lots of balconies and potential hazzards. Somehow it was easier as it wasn't my house( and wasn't cooking and doing housework etc) I was just able to focus on ds it was easy just to shut doors etc.

Deep breaths - it'll be fine :)

valiumredhead · 02/03/2011 18:58

Yep Valium, it's cold, but has been much colder so hopefully it's nearing th end. I'm so sick of it too Cheerful. The snow I can just about manage, but the cold I'm totally done with! Argh.

Ok, someone has to tell us what this St. Davids is?

Good luck with the viewing Tiredmum, hope it works out for you. What timing though. I am impressed at how well you are taking it in stride!

How are things going Elmo? Thinking of your DS every day. Are X's parents involved at all?

valiumredhead · 03/03/2011 08:47

Oh bother! And there was me boililng hot water and finding clean towels for tiredmum Wink

Morning everyone :)

I have the dentist today - need a big filling replaced as it fell out the other week, NOT looking forward to it. I've never been dentist phobic and always go for check ups etc, but last time I went I saw a horrible dentist that was SO rough I kept gagging every 2 seconds and I actually left the surgery with one of those cotton wool things in the side of my cheek ( I couldn't feel it as I was numb) It wasn't until I got back in the car that I realised something felt wrong and I hooked it out! Shock He gave me SO many injections that I had to spend the day in bed and my jaw ached for nearly a week afterwards. It was horrendeous!

Since then I've been a bit nervous even though I have a new dentist now.

Tiredmumno1 · 03/03/2011 09:28

Thanks valium, just keep the towels and water on stand by Grin

I know how you feel about the dentist, i have had some awful ones and they wonder why people dont like going, but i am sure you will be fine, i usually demand to be sedated now if i need work done, at least if i am asleep i dont know what they are doing

valiumredhead · 03/03/2011 09:34

Oh I've just looked at your profile tired - we are 'neighbours' Grin
