Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

I never really go out of my homer jocks after having DS :o

Welcome purple! You've been here before, yeah? Stay awhile, we're a friendly bunch! :)

Am beyond Envy of people with spring coming! We've got a good three feet of snow and the temp is still well below zero every day (and that's Fahrenheit, even!) It's getting to be that time of year where we're getting sick of it. Everyone has itchy dry skin and chapped lips, and we're all cranky and need the sun. It'll be here by St. Paddy's day, at least!

elmofan · 11/02/2011 17:07

I save mine for when Dh gets any idea's that i'm not particularly in the mood for Wink saves me having to say I've got a headache lol Grin TMI Blush

Ooh cheerful i would love to know how you all celebrate st paddy's day over there ? For such a small little country we get around Grin

gomummygo · 11/02/2011 18:16

Yep, I'm with Cheerful still being snowed in and Envy of the spring weather. Spring comes with April, though we've occasionally had snow in May (just falls and melts, thankfully). At St. Paddy's Day we'll still be in the drifts, unless we get some unseasonably good weather. It's almost a week-long celebration where I live, involving green-tinted drinks, Irish music and food, decorations with shamrocks and leprechauns.

CheerfulYank · 11/02/2011 18:19

Mmmm, choc muffin!

It's the same here, everyone wears green and there are huge parades in major cities. And green things everywhere...green beer, etc. And people making "Irish buns" and what not. And all the teachers reading Finn MacCool stories to the little ones. :) We'll most likely still have snow, but the sun will be appearing more by then! :) I think that's why we throw ourselves into Valentine's and St. Paddy's...it's getting so dreary and we need to celebrate!

elmofan · 11/02/2011 18:30

Oooh that all sounds great Smile

I would love to get you all over here for paddy's day , we do all the same things as you do except i don't recall there ever being any green alligators Grin

Teaandcakeplease · 11/02/2011 22:06

I seemed to have lost you all on my "I'm on" list Grin

CheerfulYank · 12/02/2011 01:14

Oh I would love to come see you for St Patrick's! That would be so, so fun.

CheerfulYank · 12/02/2011 01:16

Waves back to Tea. Hello, lovely!

reinitindear · 12/02/2011 01:17

Hello
Is it possible to join this thread without reading it all the way through as I usually do as a dedicated lurker to give my considered opinion on a subject?

CheerfulYank · 12/02/2011 01:27

Of course you can come! We just all hang out and talk about our lives and console each other when a meany-pants on another thread calls us names. :) Oh, and we share virtual goodies. And we're nice. So if any of that appeals to you, hop on! :)
