My kids are now all at school , and im going slightly (more than usual )bonkers !

So i want one of those dolls .Ideally i would get one that "matched" my children in colouring ... blonde blue eyed little cherub like darlings.

DH thinks ive went mad .
DD2 IS ROLLING HER EYES
Dd3 says just borrow one of dd4`s dollys and play with that.
The boys want to know if im getting a doll , can they get a new toy too.
DD1 thinks ive lost the plot and is looking very scared ...(she due pfb in dec )

should i get one?

YABU, they look like dead babies, I can't think of many things worse than holding a dead baby...

KickArseQueen · 23/09/2010 22:25

fetchezlavache,

Links are fine :) I was a bit unsure when I started on here what was ok /not, but really most things are on ok here :)

reallywoundup · 23/09/2010 22:26

JUST THE DOLL!!!!! sorry for shouting but I have to say I was a bit freaked, the doll was a bit of a cheap one I think and was very bluey. Its no good. It looked dead. That was my 1st thought when she walked in.

Mad as a box of frogs.

KickArseQueen · 23/09/2010 22:29

Trust me! It was a trifle odd. It was about a year ago and still comes up in chat sometimes.

Is facebook working again yet???

Meglet · 23/09/2010 22:31

FFS. YABU.

Start therapy / compulsive shopping / crack cocaine.

Anything is better than those dolls.

TheVeryLazyLadybird · 23/09/2010 22:32

Apparently she's been there for years, part-of-the-furniture, all the staff are aware of her behaviour.

I don't know if I could sit through a whole playgroup session without staring tbh, would probably look like >> Shock

I have to say, I just feel sorry for people who have those dolls Sad

i know i prob shouldn't admit this but (these peoples mental state ignored) i think i would just want to laugh at a women sat at a play group feeding a doll! or sat anywhere in public feeding a doll really!

BatsInTheSnowglobe · 23/09/2010 22:41

ha ha ha Starlight awww even reborns can go get their faces painted!

KickArseQueen · 23/09/2010 22:48

No, I'm sorry it was just too freaky! Some of the dolls I've seen look really good, but this one...scary.

longhaul · 23/09/2010 22:48

pmsl

longhaul · 23/09/2010 22:49

I like this one Blush

longhaul · 23/09/2010 22:51

comes with "Instructions for assembling your Toddler"

I can understand the babies a bit but why would anyone want a fake toddler with a dogs face painted on it?

TheVeryLazyLadybird · 23/09/2010 22:52

Eeek!

ShowOfHands · 23/09/2010 22:54

Really Bats? I think I'd cry. Sad

Starlight, that monstrosity you linked to is the sort of thing that crawls up the bed in the night, waits for you to crack open one eye and then smiles at you. Be very afraid.

scottishmummy · 23/09/2010 22:56

aye lookey-likey baby is answer to your prayers.buy two.try breast feeding.play banjo.call it baby Missy-Mae

ShowOfHands · 23/09/2010 22:57

My aunt has a toddler one. But my aunt was brain damaged at birth (she's 60 now) and has severe learning difficulties. Watching her cuddle her is absolutely heartbreaking.

The thing is Chucky's older sister though.

dizietsma · 23/09/2010 22:59

Aaaaaagh!

Those dolls are unholy.

YABU. And weird. And I'm really weird so it takes a lot for me to say that.

TheVeryLazyLadybird · 23/09/2010 23:00

Bottom photo, baby attacked by rabbit!

notyummy · 23/09/2010 23:00

FFS Ladybird - I can't get that image out of my mind now!

salizchap · 23/09/2010 23:07

Yuk! Horrid, horrid things. Get a dog instead, and get a job ffs! Or get into volunteering.

Alternatively, if you miss kids so much, why not get into fostering. They are crying out for caring foster homes.

Stillcounting · 23/09/2010 23:08

lol Ladybird

Why not get a guinea pig Groves? They squeak AND poo too.

shanks313 · 23/09/2010 23:09

I know someone who has 2 reborns.
She calls one William and takes him out in a old fashioned pram. When we go round her house she shows us all the outfits shes knitted for him or bought off Ebay...Im talking a suitcase full.
She takes William to the shops and the local old peoples accommodation and thinks its great when they are fooled.
All very scary
