Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

I cried when I got home with DC2 as I couldn't spend as much time as I used to with DD. Totally regret the 17 month age gap and wished I'd had a bigger one. However if I had I'd have only had one child as H left me. It is tricky isn't it Cheerful?

LOL, I remember that too, Tea! Remember when she made the second one so Monica and Rachel wouldn't fight over it? Grin

gomummy · 08/10/2010 20:47

I can totally imagine that I'd be the same way about the age gap, Tea, but otoh, XH had a huge family with only a year or so between each....and now as adults they are all so close to each other as they really did "grow up" together....pros and cons of everything I guess.

Cheerful we have friends who have done that (adopted from foster care system in addition to their own biological children - BIG family), I hope you have a wonderful experience.

CheerfulYank · 08/10/2010 21:09

Hahhahahahhaha tea...I love Joey; he's totally my favorite.

I hope I do too gomummy! We've actually started filling out the adoption papers but I'm not sure what I want to do...I feel like I will want to have another bio DC at some point and it would be nice to be done while I'm still in my 20's. (Just for me personally, I know some moms who've had kids in their 40s and are very happy with it) So...it's so hard to decide! But I think we might TTC now and then in a few years when the DC are older we'll adopt. But I might change my mind by the next time I post, who knows! :)

teaandcakeplease · 08/10/2010 22:00

I've never seen anything like Friends since that is as good. Joey did rock but his spin off programme didn't seem to be as funny for me Hmm

Thanks cheerful, gorgeous and brilliant is great Grin

tea, i am so glad to hear noah is getting stronger, i really hope they get to bring him home in the next few days.

hope all you benchers are well Smile

gomummy · 08/10/2010 22:49

How are you feeling?

I agree Tea, none of the spinoffs were as good (not sure which of the spinoffs made it to UK though). But then I usually feel that way about most spinoffs from any show I like.

That would be a tough call Cheerful, though I think there's probably something to be said for physically going through the process of TTC/pregnancy in your 20's/early 30's if it's a choice. (Also just imo, though) Our friends' biological children are their 1st, and 5th I believe, but could be wrong.

CheerfulYank · 12/10/2010 19:27

Sorry you're not feeling well Tiredmum. I called in sick to work yesterday and spent the day on the couch drinking pepto-bismal and running to the bathroom every half hour. Fun! And then I'm taking a personal day tomorrow to take DS to the library for storytime. :)

gomummygo · 13/10/2010 00:42

Sorry to hear that you're unwell too Cheerful. Hope you are feeling better for storytime tomorrow, it is such a nice time, DS loves the library.

CheerfulYank · 13/10/2010 17:46

Mmm, chicken soup!

Storytime was great! The woman doing it today is one of my favorite moms around town, she's so nice and her daughter is adorable. She read one about leaves, one about owls, and one about a farm, and then the children made leaf collages. We had apples and caramel dip for snack. Good times! I'm such a dork, I love doing mommy stuff! :) I'm feeling better as long as I drink Pepto; how are you tiredmum?

Hi tea! And spikey and elmo and anyone else who's here today :)

Bloodandsnakesplease · 13/10/2010 18:07

You're not a dork, you're an amazing mummy who is creating special memories for your DS and raising him to be a secure and loved little man.

Tea here in my Halloween themed name. Lovin' the other thread where someone helped me come up with a good name Smile
