Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Well I have decent hair and I will trade it to you for your arse in a New York minute. :)

It's unseasonably warm here, gomummy, and I'm hoping it holds out til the house is done. :) Sleet's the worst, though! I don't mind snow as long as it's proper snow, but just mush falling out of the sky...bleaurgh!

I like your hair color tea!

teaandcakeplease · 06/10/2010 20:15

Sorry it's £259!

AnyFucker · 06/10/2010 20:17

I got a new parka from Top Shop last winter

It was 80 quid

I felt very decadent ! Grin

CheerfulYank · 06/10/2010 20:18

Cripes almighty, in dollars that's...wow. Wow! I wear stuff from Target, the Gap if I'm feeling posh. :o Since I don't drive and it's million degrees below zero here in the winter I do usually have to splurge on outerwear though...I spend a lot of time walking around in the snow! :) Nothing like that much though. Is NF northface? I am going to get one of those this winter I hope, but I will haunt the outlet stores, not pay full price.

Question for the bench: Are silly bandz big with the kids there? Will look them up and add a link

CheerfulYank · 06/10/2010 20:23

They're these Huge with the kids here and I was going to send some in a package to someone with DDs in the UK. Think they'd like them?

teaandcakeplease · 06/10/2010 20:23

Yes North Face Smile

A nice coat does make a difference like hair to how you feel but by God that's a fortune! I have Christmas to save for for starters, let alone putting food in my DCs tummy and bills to pay! Top shop have some nice stuff.

Dare I confess I'm listening to DCs speech live right now. I want to hear for myself exactly what he said, the whole speech. The media spin everything and I struggle with the mumsnet threads on politics with the people who shout louder over everyone else on what they think and their opinion - you know?

I know, tea. I have an envelope labelled "vaccuum fund" that I put my spare money in. A flippin vaccuum! But I need a really good one to suck up the tumbleweeds of Golden Retreiver hair floating around my house, and the good ones are expensive.

Tiredmumno1 · 06/10/2010 20:42

I had a dating scan a while back tea, the normal scan will be the end of this month Smile

well if it snowed for christmas day, and melted the next, then that would be fine in my books Grin

the ice makes me Angry

when i last had my hair cut it cost me £50, they did a good job though

teaandcakeplease · 06/10/2010 20:45

I have a good friend who cuts hair at home, who does mine. She charges £22 but she's taken an IOU this time as I'm so broke Blush

teaandcakeplease · 06/10/2010 20:46

Be great to hear about your scan soooo long to wait though Wink Love to see a pic of the baby.

AnyFucker · 06/10/2010 20:47

Tiredmumno1 · 06/10/2010 20:47

Tiredmumno1 · 06/10/2010 20:51

AF you are even luckier

gomummy · 06/10/2010 21:12

It will be there in lots of time for Christmas, lol! :)

OK, my turn, what do you think my hair is, AF?

Oh yes we want to see the scan Tiredmum!!!

I'm with you on the outerwear Cheerful, worth spending the big bucks on things that fight off hypothermia, lol!

AnyFucker · 06/10/2010 21:17

gomummy, I think your hair is conker brown and glossy and very, very straight

CheerfulYank · 06/10/2010 21:24

So...opinion on the silly bandz?

AnyFucker · 06/10/2010 21:26

my kids are a bit too old for those, tbh

somebody mentioned these animal band thingies on a thread the other day, so they are already in the UK I think

teaandcakeplease · 06/10/2010 21:45

I've seen ads for bendaroos which sound similar my DD has mentioned them after seeing the ad on tv but I've never bought them. Are they good fun then?

Helllooooo Gomummy! I think snow all the time in Winter would wear the novelty off somewhat Grin But if I was there being fed and watered by you and our DCs playing together whilst we chatted, now that would be fab Smile I'd do the washing up Wink In my dreams.

So what is your hair colour Gomummy? Did AF guess right?

I should be studying instead of on here. Someone speak to me sternly!

OP posts:
teaandcakeplease · 06/10/2010 21:46

In my dreams - being there in Canada. Not washing up.

I really need to use more punctuation in my posts Blush
