Joining if I may, last drink was 1st Jan.
I haven't been properly drunk since my DC was born over 2 years ago but do get in the habit with DH of having a couple of drinks pretty much 3-4 nights a week (since we stayed dry from Jan to end of March last year - before that it could be daily).
Not sure how long we will go this time (me and DH both stopped after ny day) although I did have the mindset last year of giving up for good... lockdown got me back on though and that was it for the year.
I'd like to be fully AF really, unfortunately still associate summer days with something sparkly but hope I wouldn't mind that not being alcohol by this summer!

I broke my booze fast on Friday night. Was meant to go till next Friday. I don't feel bad about it, and am happy with 7 weeks. I think it was all the thoughts of summer and planning ahead that did it! The wine ws delicious and I didn't have a hangover. My intention is to be dry Sunday-Thursday from now. But if it starts to take up too much headspace then I'll have another dry spell.
Well done to everyone whether dry or moderating 😀

So we've got a few boot campers on here. I don't know if you want to follow my ideas or set your own targets - entirely up to you. Let's get moving! I bought my wedding dress and I don't fit in it yet - if I carry on like this it won't fit in September!

Can I join for March boot camp too please? I've given up alcohol for lent, think I'm on Day 12 now and am so pleased I've got this far. I've had a few attempts to quit or at least moderate over the last 6 months or so, and this is the longest dry spell I've had.
Exercise is really helping me. I've just started week 5 of couch to 5k, so if I can keep going with that, I should complete it around Easter time, so seemed good timing to try and give up alcohol for lent too.

anyone want to join me for a March boot camp? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/4178627-does-anyone-want-to-join-me-for-a-march-boot-camp here
Not sure if that linked properly. Thread is in chat!
How's everyone's first day of March going? I've had loads of fruit and veg, walked 13,000 steps and looking forward to a month of self-care.

Hi all! Hope I can join? I did dry January this year and was on the threads for that but feel like I've got to come to terms with the fact I cannot moderate. I've had a couple of hangovers in Feb and yesterday I just thought what is the bloody point.
Decided I'm going to do dry March then see how long I can go for. The threads back in Jan really helped keep me accountable!

Thanks @MyGhastIsFlabbered I've joined the new thread, hoping that some motivation and encouragement will help me along!
