Morning all. AF last night here, stuck to my SW really well.

I watched that Lose a stone in 21 days programme. I mean there's so many crazy things he was saying on it but also watching it made me feel a bit smug because I realised actually other than my drinking I'm not that bad in other areas Confused

ErinBrockovich · 26/08/2020 08:30

Morning all. Day 10AF. First day I’ve woken up feeling good. Well rested. Positive.
I got a load of jobs done yesterday that I’ve been putting off for a while so that will have helped with the sleep.
I’ve also started limiting myself to two coffees each morning as I was wondering whether too much coffee too late in the day was affecting my sleep and irritability. I’ve been substituting with decaf and haven’t noticed much of a difference.
Going to continue with my list today and try and eek out this boost of mood, which is so welcome after a rough couple of weeks.
Have a good day everyone.

cherrybakewellll · 26/08/2020 14:03

I was just wondering, has anyone tried the seed lip or other alcohol free gins? If so is there any recommendations? I need something nice to sip in the evening between getting kids to bed and having dinner. I can have diet tonic but I feel like it needs pepping up.

RandomGirl · 26/08/2020 14:17

@cherrybakewellllI think that @fluckityfluckfluck has tried them?

@ErinBrockovich that’s brilliant about getting stiff ticked off your list - I’m having a couple of days like that so far this week (although the list does seem to get added to every hour!). It’s really good for the soul and stops the mind racing as soon as your head hits the pillow.

Thanks @HotelRoomforOne - I cant say that I enjoyed it That much and I will definitely swerve something like that if can in the future. It did feel nice driving home (!!!) and getting into bed feeling - that was worth it. Small gains I guess!

fluckityfluckfluck · 26/08/2020 14:49

Hi @cherrybakewellll I like the seedlip grove but also there a clean gin in a green bottle in Sainsbury's (also on amazon) that is cheaper and really nice

cherrybakewellll · 27/08/2020 08:21

Thanks @fluckityfluckfluck I'll have a look. I've been having caffeine free Diet Coke in the evenings but I'm not sure that's very good for me!

I am going to try this weekend to really control my wine intake. Half a bottle on Saturday and half a bottle on Sunday. If I haven't lost any weight this week, because I've been religious with my slimming world, I am going to stop drinking for September.

ErinBrockovich · 27/08/2020 08:24

Morning all. Day 11 here. I’ve managed to maintain my positive momentum. I went for a swim last night once the kids were in bed. First time in years. It wasn’t too bad. I ache a bit this morning but I guess that means it worked?! Once the kids go back to school I’m going to start doing a bit more exercise. I have those jeans that don’t fit for my motivation.
The list is getting smaller and I’m feeling a bit more in control about school restarting and actually looking forward to it.
Fingers crossed for another productive day.

ErinBrockovich · 27/08/2020 08:26

The only thing I would say about the swim is you are supposed to go ‘beach ready’. Their words. If you have your cossie on under your clothes you have to get changed at the side of the pool. Didn’t appreciate that part Shock

fluckityfluckfluck · 27/08/2020 08:33

@ErinBrockovich you are really doing so well!

I saw the big number on the scales change yesterday which was very satisfying. I've gone from 11 2.5 to 9 13.4 - and I've not even been eating well! Just sticking to 11/7 window and walking more. Still would like to loose another 5/6lb but am happy for that to come off very slowly.

Sid has been a star at work this week. I've been training him to use doorbells hanging by the door when he needs to go out and it's really working! He's so clever. Can't wait to be able take him out on the lead though, I'm finding being cooped up quite stressful

fluckityfluckfluck · 27/08/2020 08:35

@cherrybakewellll this is it currently unavailable on amazon but just saw they have flavoured ones too! I got a bottle online with Sainsbury's last week.

cherrybakewellll · 27/08/2020 08:48

Thanks @fluckityfluckfluck but hold the hell on. Are you telling me you've lost 2 stone?!

Railingsohno · 27/08/2020 08:54

Lovely to hear how you’re all doing. @RandomGirl that’s brilliant well done!
@fluckityfluckfluck that’s amazing weight loss. Love hearing about Sid too - what a star he is with the bells, too cute!
@ErinBrockovich so good about going swimming. It’s great to change up the routine and use evenings productively.

@cherrybakewellll good luck!

I’m doing ok. Back at work (teacher) and finding it hard. The noise, the people. I’m naturally quite an introvert so it takes its toll. I definitely used wine to relax in the evenings so I did have a pang last night. I was so exhausted I just came in and went to bed to get some peace. Not great. Hopefully get used to it and feel less drained soon.

Railingsohno · 27/08/2020 08:55

Well done too to @HotelRoomforOne it sounds like you’re doing brilliantly.

And @floopy1 good luck! Yes to getting rid of the wine. Onwards and upwards!

fluckityfluckfluck · 27/08/2020 08:57

@cherrybakewellll No not two stone, it's like a stone and 3 lbs

ErinBrockovich · 27/08/2020 08:57

@fluckityfluckfluck [Shock]
You must be sooooo pleased with that weight loss! Amazing! That’s at least a dress size right? Wow.

ErinBrockovich · 27/08/2020 08:57

Well my shock emoji went well Hmm

fluckityfluckfluck · 27/08/2020 08:58

All my clothes are fitting! I had bought some emergency bits to tide me over but have basically been uncomfortable in my clothes for a year. Or wearing the same few bits. Thanks all, it feels good

ErinBrockovich · 27/08/2020 09:03

@Railingsohno the quiet of the swimming pool was so refreshing.
They had drained the children’s pool and limited numbers using a booking system so it was lovely.
I know what you mean about the noise. I’m used to peace and quiet at home. Now DH is here WFH FT and both children have been here since March. I’m craving peace and alone time.

fluckityfluckfluck · 27/08/2020 09:06

@Railingsohno I know school must be rather stressful at the moment. Hugs x

cherrybakewellll · 27/08/2020 09:09

Even so @fluckityfluckfluck that's amazing and definitely helped with my motivation so thank you!

@Patbutcherismyhero I weirdly last night watched that Swingers documentary and looked to see if there was a post about it and noticed you'd started one. Haha.

Patbutcherismyhero · 27/08/2020 09:52

@cherrybakewellll I'm on all the important topics....booze, swinging....HmmGrin

OP posts:
Railingsohno · 27/08/2020 10:37

@Patbutcherismyhero haha!!!! Love it! Grin

Railingsohno · 27/08/2020 10:40

@fluckityfluckfluck @ErinBrockovich thank you! It’s even the little things like not being able to get water to fill my water bottle. Having to bring two in. We’re moving from room to room instead of the pupils so it's quite hectic (good for steps though). I’ve not missed the commute either! I think I’ll get used to it, I need to be more organised with water and bringing my own lunch as those are stress points that I have some control over!

NeedAUserNameAllTaken · 27/08/2020 18:45

Sorry to hear its stressful@Railingsohno. Hope it feels more comfortable for you soon. It's all certainly so different atm.
I'm a teacher too! But I'm in a super small alternative so not quite such an impact.

Amazing work @fluckityfluckfluck! And so cute with Sid and bells and so clever! Wish I thought of this with my two, although they are so lazy they don't even come down for a morning wee half the time.

Nice one with the swim @ErinBrockovich. Annoying re changing at the pool side. Funny old covid world.

And well done everyone else, sorry busy busy day and brain whacked so sorry if I'm missing people.

fluckityfluckfluck · 27/08/2020 19:00

Oh god I am so ducking bored and lonely. No work, no kids and shit weather/Sid combo means I am housebound. I've eaten like a pig. This is why I've been drinking too much. I'd love to ducking drink until I don't feel right now
