Baby number 4 for her and Jamie

OP posts:
ClaireDeLoon · 04/03/2010 22:03

I'm confused as to why this has all kicked off. I've been trying for baby no 1 for two and a half years now with two m/c behind me. Yes what I want most is a child, to actually go to a scan and see a heartbeat. But I also know that deep down I'd love a girl. Am I wrong/evil to think that?

PavlovtheCat · 04/03/2010 22:05

If you want to get the name right, best hide this thread from her very soon, or else she will strike all the suggestions off her list. She is bound to be a mumsnetter

(do you think the word 'mumsnetter' will enter the dictionary soon as a proper word? 'to mumsnet' )

taffetacat · 04/03/2010 22:07

No, I don't think you are CDL.

NonnoMum · 04/03/2010 22:57

Oh be nice! good luck to them, they produce beautiful children...

cakeywakey · 04/03/2010 23:01

I bet dinnertime is fab at the Oliver house - no smiley faces and beans 'n' sausages from a tin there! (Not at mine either, honest [smile)

chipmonkey · 04/03/2010 23:27

When they were expecting dd3, I read an interview with Jools and she was annoyed with Jamie for publicly saying he wanted a ds when she would have preferred he stayed quiet.

Nice to know there were probably people who were laughing their heads off when we had ds4.

choosyfloosy · 04/03/2010 23:50

I absolutely love Bluebell Ribbon. Funny, when Geri H had Bluebell I didn't like the name but now I am wishing for a little plump girly.

[sigh]

time of the month methinks

PfftTheMagicDragon · 05/03/2010 07:58

Does anybody seriously think their desire to experience parenting a boy as well as girls over-rides their desire for a healthy baby, healthy mum?

I really don't understand why we should be required to hold this against them. She's pregnant - that's great news. They will doubtless call the baby something - that's to be expected, everybody has a name. I anticipate she'll get quite a big bump and probably complain of discomfort.

Is that it? Can we move on now or must we spend the next six months calling them smug, stupid and ungrateful?

lucykate · 05/03/2010 08:16

i think they're just enjoying the fact that after pcos, they are conceiving naturally!. good for them!

my friends parents have the same gaps with friend and her siblings, 2 close together, big gap, then another 2 close together.

I have a friend who is planning 6. Her first is 6, second 4 and she's just had her third. She's planning another in the next 18 months. She wants lots but to be able to cope waits until the first pair are at school. She has two close together so they each have a playmate close in age. She started young. Its a set up that seems eminently sensible.

I do agree with everything GetOrf has said though. And laughed a lot. Thanks, GetOrf.

paisleyleaf · 05/03/2010 09:57

I love the idea of having 4 girls.
Or 4 boys.
I think having 4 the same would be really nice.

BessieBoots · 05/03/2010 10:07

Good luck to them! I read her book when I was pg, and enjoyed it.

I think they would call a boy Elvis. I might have read that somewhere though...

tothesea · 05/03/2010 10:17

Sorry but.... 'Pleasant piddle'... that is going to keep me in secret sniggers all day

daysoftheweek · 05/03/2010 10:35

I'm sure there weren't chip they are just a) jealous b) in awe

The difference is you don't state publically in numerous magazine articles how much you want a boy and are presumably not worth millions??!!

(I'm always very minorly about women who only want a boy makes me think good job you mother didn't share your idea!)

TheHun · 05/03/2010 10:48

Basil for a boy.

FabIsDoingPrettyWell · 05/03/2010 10:57

Like you get a choice, daysoftheweek.

cyteen · 05/03/2010 11:12

Floribunda Maple
Caramel Quiff (for a boy)

MrsBadger · 05/03/2010 11:23

actually I suspect whoever said they;d call a boy Jamie is spot on
but he'd be known as Little Man or Sonny or Laddy or something

Bonsoir · 05/03/2010 11:32

Daisy
Poppy
Petal

and

Leif

surely?

GenevieveHawkings · 05/03/2010 16:19
