Have you had any round yet?

I've had 2. Soo ooo cute though.

It's my favourite time of year.

I haven't gone mad with decorations but enough to let dcs realise I'm participating. A house nearby has gone all out so I've directed them there.

Hope I get more?

Ooo doorbell has gone again.

It was 5 teens. Dressed up though. And they only took one sweet packet each.

Had 2 more. About 8 years? No adults. They had rucksacks with them. Can't fault their optimism 🤣 They took 2 sweets each.

None yet, expecting it to kick off about 5pm. Will put the pumpkin out then.

socks1107 · 31/10/2026 16:48

None so far. This is the last year I’ll bother if no one knocks. Last year we had one knock and it was disappointing so I’ve bought a few more decs to try again but if no one then I’ll accept my answering the door to little witches and wizards is over until I maybe have grandchildren who will hopefully come round

Four groups so far.

my estate is known for it though

Sunseekers · 31/10/2026 16:50

Guisers are out early round our way, excellent jokes so far and very polite.

WintersFrog · 31/10/2026 16:50

I love your neightbour 😆
Pumpkin/decorations rule round here. They'll start coming around 6ish I expect and we usually get a steady stream of little ghoulies and ghosties.
Sweet are at the ready and I have learnt the hard way to say just one!!
I do admire the costumes though.

When we get fed up with answering the door we pull the pumpkin in and turn the lights off. Seems to work.

SpookySeaWitch · 31/10/2026 16:50

Blimey just had an influx of about 12. My bucket of sweets is half full. Outfits are fab.
It's the first year in this house. Last house I got loads too.

Just had an amazing werewolf at the door. Quite scary.

I'm a Halloween disliker , no small children . Curtains drawn , no pumpkin and no decs . Don't answer the door .

CointreauVersial · 31/10/2026 16:58

I'm hoping none.

We only ever get a handful, and every year we end up with loads of uneaten "treats", so I'm sorry to say this year we've switched off the lights and the door will stay unanswered.

To be fair, if there are no pumpkins or ghosts they don't knock. And there's a big estate nearby, so plenty of treating opportunities there.

ToddlersAreBananas · 31/10/2026 17:00

5 large groups so far. I made a point of putting out a trick treat sign along with pumkins

PimblePumble · 31/10/2026 17:01

I'm in a close, so don't get any, but when Dd was little I lived on a navy estate and we had loads, and went out and got loads of loot.
I'd make 60 bags every year and they'd go.
I vaguely miss those days, but then now I have warm feet and no squealing...

SpookySeaWitch · 31/10/2026 17:01

Yeah they shouldn't knock if no pumpkin etc.

I carved ours last night. Really quickly but looks good. I have black netting and pumpkin lights up outside too.

It's lovely seeing their little (and not so little) faces. 👻🎃

ShiftySquirrel · 31/10/2026 17:02

Zero so far, but I'm expecting lots for where we live. Pumpkins are out and lit.

This is the night where lots of the children at the school I work at find out where I live. They are all quite sweet and say Hello Mrs Squirrel, but when they're dressed up I don't recognise them at all!

I'll be in and out tonight though, older teen is at a party needing lifts, so younger teen and friend will be manning the door dressed up as creepy clowns...

Muchtoomuchtodo · 31/10/2026 17:11

Nothing here yet! 🎃

WaterlooBridge · 31/10/2026 17:36

Only 4 so far here, unbelievably cute though.

Have started eating Moams.

FionnulaTheCooler · 31/10/2026 17:39

No guisers here yet. I've bought 6 bags of sweets as we usually get loads so I hope we get some. Sods law they will all come as soon as I sit down to my Chinese takeaway.

Seagulldancing · 31/10/2026 17:41

Ive had a few tiny tots. The hordes will desend after 6pm and I turn off the lights and doorbell after 8pm.

WearyAuldWumman · 31/10/2026 17:41

Only two wee guisers here, accompanied by mum. I goofed - didn't get a pumpkin, so strung some white Christmas lights over my front window railing.

I think the mum knew it was okay to come here because they visited last year.

LadyWiddiothethird · 31/10/2026 17:45

Our estate is hardly decorated this year, compared to previous years.Going swimming in a bit, will be interesting to see how many families are about.

I don’t do Halloween,no small children and a reactive dog who would scare the hell out of anyone knocking!

Hatty65 · 31/10/2026 17:46

None. We're rural and never get anyone round. I don't bother decorate now my DC are all adult.

WearyAuldWumman · 31/10/2026 17:46

I can hear voices outside, but no one coming here...

TurboGirl2 · 31/10/2026 17:47

We have had about 5 lots of people so far.

mamaof4losingmymind · 31/10/2026 17:47

11 lots so far all polite all dressed lovely

Theonewhogotthecake · 31/10/2026 17:48
