Have you had any round yet?

I've had 2. Soo ooo cute though.

It's my favourite time of year.

I haven't gone mad with decorations but enough to let dcs realise I'm participating. A house nearby has gone all out so I've directed them there.

Hope I get more?

Ooo doorbell has gone again.

It was 5 teens. Dressed up though. And they only took one sweet packet each.

I wish. I feel guilty 😔

You can never work out the right amount, unfortunately.

Cuwins · 31/10/2026 18:38

We live in a flat so none come to the door but took DD (4) out for the first time and our estate was heaving!

Fawltytitties · 31/10/2026 18:39

I’ve had about 30 guisers. And I just spotted a big vw people carrier that I don’t recognise pulling up and kids piling out

We have had lots. Very cute outfits and all very polite. Love it!

shellyleppard · 31/10/2026 18:41

@WearyAuldWumman my son will take them to college on Monday and share the spoils ❤️ now the fireworks have started....🎆💥🎆

WearyAuldWumman · 31/10/2026 18:43

That's another 4 groups, now. Still little ones, but some older now appearing.

Callisto1 · 31/10/2026 18:43

Not many houses decorated in my area so kids usually go elsewhere. We get a few groups passing by but I always end up with spares. This year we had 6 groups so far, some of which I recognise. All very friendly and cute.

Yes first year in this house. I know for next time.

They're still ringing our bell!

We had about 15 sets, ranging from little ones with their parents, to gaggles of 20.

Everyone was delightfully polite, a teenage boy dressed as Death called me “bro” (“thanks so much bro”).

We massively under stocked on treats, all gone between 5pm and 6pm.

AccidentallyOnTrend · 31/10/2026 18:44

6 visits so far from small gaggles of adorably polite and generally adorable little ones!

I do have a soft spot for the awkward teens who hunch/lurch up a bit later on in a hockey mask then go off gleefully giggling with the dregs of the candy bowl Grin

WhatICallMyUsername · 31/10/2026 18:44

We’ve hardly had any compared to our previous years. Our estate has gained a bit of a reputation for going all out and word gets round and people drive to us. I’ve normally run out by 7pm but still got tonnes left now! Think the difference was our teen stayed home and answered the door instead of leaving the bucket on the step!

Beckywiththegoodnails · 31/10/2026 18:46

I’ve had such a terrible week and all my kids are too old for trick and treat and I’m up to my ears with teenage dramas and my heart has just been warmed tonight by the cute little kids
we’re not on a major trick and treat route so we’ve only had about 6 knocks
cheered us up loads tho

MrsMitford3 · 31/10/2026 18:50

Started around 4:30 here with very little ones. Have had a few hundred. DH getting fed up 😂 so shepherds pie in the oven and we will turn lights off then.

WearyAuldWumman · 31/10/2026 18:56

Another lull...

DeutscheBahnTicket · 31/10/2026 18:58

We have had a few more. A really tiny buzz lightyear with his big brother woody from toy story. So cute!

spiceandathingsnice · 31/10/2026 19:01

Last year we ran out after dishing out 80+ bags of sweets. This year I have about 120 bags … let’s see what happens. We’re down about half atm …

GintyMcGinty · 31/10/2026 19:01

We’ve had queues at our door.

Over 100 so far going by how my supplies are holding up. Will probably have another 100 tonight.

6-8pm here. Scotland.

BotterMon · 31/10/2026 19:01

Zero. The joys of living rurally!

My teenage DD is away out with her pals round at one of their houses, and says her pal knows all the houses to go to a bit later that will tell them just to take whatever they've got left because they're fed up answering the door. We'll see what she comes back with.

sprigatito · 31/10/2026 19:17

I’ve had about 70 kids so far, from tiny toddlers right up to teens. All polite and excited and delightful. Best costume so far was a plague doctor, it scared the life out of me 😆

LoopyGremlin · 31/10/2026 19:18

We’ve got hundreds of sweets but only had three kids so far 😢 I’m in a quiet street with a lot of elderly people!

QueenMaiker · 31/10/2026 19:22

It’s slowing down now… probably about 200. It’s HUGE where I live, almost like a festival - adults, kids all dressed up and out on the streets .

Mirrorxxx · 31/10/2026 19:23

Before 7pm we had a lot of smaller children with their parents.
since then it’s order ones who slam on the door and shout. Wouldn’t give them anything

mamaof4losingmymind · 31/10/2026 19:25

Its getting quieter now luckily as we've nearly ran out of sweets

Aliencrispsandolives · 31/10/2026 19:25

We don’t get any because we live in the middle of nowhere. I would probably freak out if someone knocked 😂
