This eBay seller is having a laugh, surely?

I actually remember when they were selling these shoes in Dolcis - early 80s? - and they were probably about £3.99!

ImogenBrocklehurst · Yesterday 10:27

They’re only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them.

Off topic, though: I miss Dolcis - they had great shoes.

godmum56 · Yesterday 10:58

I dunno....people with the right kink will pay silly prices for stuff.

God, I remember Dolcis.

Agreed, hardly a high end brand!

Dolcis! I remember loving them. Idk how it was pronounced, I said doll-siss.

I'd pay 20 quid for them as I actually like them!

I actually quite like them too! I’d clean them up and wear them. For a tenner, maybe.

Yeah they'd want a clean. I'd probably not wanna wear them with bare feet even after that! But they're cute. I do like 80s pop/new wave kinda style though.

Sometimes sellers who don’t actually have that stock in, will just update the price to a ridiculously high one as a kind of place-saver, as it’s easier than taking down an re-listing later. 🤷🏻‍♀️

NCOneDayOnly · Yesterday 13:01

I wonder if the seller thinks a costume designer/production team of some description will absolutely NEED those shoes for a film or TV production and she's chancing her arm on the price?

Suzypuzy · Yesterday 13:22

Either the seller is a chancer........(or she needs to move her decimal point over, by two places)! 😂

Well I never knew that!

Some wonderful eccentric items.

My Ossie Clark maxi from the 70s is now around the £600 mark though.

Me too.

itstoolateforsnacks · Yesterday 23:41

I love these and would totally wear them if they fit me. Not for £600 tho, eek.

Meanwhile the seller of the infamous 12 days of Christmas centrepiece has upped the price from £699 to £999.

“1001 viewed today” says eBay. Tourist attraction! They could charge for views. I loved reading the description. Such good old school eBay vibes, thanks for sharing.

'Not another pair in the country'. Beg to differ, we have those exact ones for sale in the charity shop I work in at the moment.

You're undercharging!
