This eBay seller is having a laugh, surely?

@nomas its now £1200.
this is twice the price of my first car!! I also feel it’s missing foliage and should be more bushy.

🤣🤣🤣

🤣 They must have got excited at the thousands of views across the last few days.

Yes, maybe the foliage is also hard to source like the swan figures!

I reckon the seller has come across a bundle of vintage items from a relative or house clearance, yet knows nothing about vintage. The shoes are very clearly 80s!! And if you knew about vintage you would price accordingly. High end prices for Dolcis leather shoes would be around £50 I reckon.

Yes in the description it was an aunt who was always a very trendy dresser. I still have a pair of shoes same style of heel from the 80s.

Meanwhile the seller of the infamous 12 days of Christmas centrepiece has upped the price from £699 to £999.

i kind of like the sentiment of this,,,,but i wouldnt want it

I Could maybe just understand someone selling second hand Jimmy choos or some super high end designer shoes for this price (with authenticity verification) but this isn’t even a special brand..they’re just a pair of old shoes. That’s absolutely mental. Keep watching to see if some muppet actually buys them!

malefields · 04/10/2026 09:24

Personally I find it ludicrous, but realistically the seller can’t put whatever price they want. People either pay up or don’t.

Anarchy99 · 04/10/2026 13:03

Well nobody has to buy them so either she has priced herself out or someone will happily pay that or near it. Either way, it is up to her. She clearly has a reason to think it’s a good price.

Friendlygingercat · 04/10/2026 18:38

Why is her description ALL IN CAPS - that would put me off as a customer right away.

Yes I sell mainly to the USA and get the odd rude buyer saying well I can get this for $$ so why are you asking $$$ I tell them to hurry and buy it before that seller clears all their stock. Putting your item up for sale on Ebay, Vinted or anywhere is just an invitation to treat (trade) so you can ask what you like.

Her other items have sold for under a tenner so this price does seem an unusual anomaly.

She is probably wondering why her shoes have had 300+ views today but no sale.

1500 views now 🤣

That is the whole point of it on here. Nobody wants to buy it. It is one of the most wonderfully tasteless items I have ever seen and it brings tears to everyone's eyes who beholds it - tears of laughter.

I'm off to the charity shop with a pair of shoes late 70s my kids aren't interested, grandkids too young.

The black pair with the closed toe are gorgeous! I have a similar pair from the early nineties. So comfortable to wear; they've been re-heeled many times.
Why don't you put them on Vinted? @justasking111

That's what daughter said. Answer I don't know how and I've read awful things about dodgy buyers
