It just screams low intelligence to me.

People with so little going on in their own lives that they are secretly hoping for some big salacious twist in the tale, purely for their own entertainment. Awful.

As someone who actually survived horrendous neglect as a child

Give your head a wobble

Oh he must be elderly then if it’s on Facebook. Do you not have the ability to think for yourself?

Where are you getting all your information from then?

Anyone can fall over.

I was incredibly lucky last winter when I tripped, broke my wrist and damaged my elbow, that there happened to be another adult at the park gate who stopped my wee one trying to go to our house (about 3/4 mins away) to get my DH by himself.

You’re spouting about neglect without a fucking clue what actually happened.

Don't know, it's all over facebook that he was elderly.

And I used to go to a run club and there was folk there who were 60’s and fastest ones of the group. Even if he is older doesn’t mean he isn’t agile

Can we leave the “who’s responsible?!?” posts and conspiracy theories until after Noah is found? They offer nothing to the discussion and search at this vital stage.

I can’t believe a vulnerable child is missing and people are playing the blame game!!

It’s not possible to watch your child 24/7.
Anyone who says otherwise is just a liar.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen little ones lost in supermarkets or theme parks etc as it literally takes a split second.

There are a million scenarios where a child can get away.

In the few seconds it takes for you to look around the immediate area, they could have already gone in multiple directions.
If you’re there alone then you can only search 1 direction at a time.

This poor boy (if still alive) must be scared, cold, hungry, like ill or injured etc and the family will be worried sick.

It’s disgusting that some people care more about finding blame than the actual poor boy.

Don't know, it's all over facebook that he was elderly.

It was also all over Facebook that he’d been found…

Use some intelligence before taking your “facts” from shit sources

I know OP has asked us not to speculate etc but I have GOT to respond to this

How on earth do you know that the grandfather was elderly and doesn't have the agility to care for a child?

Most grandparents of 3 year olds are not elderly and don't have mobility issues. Anyone can trip and fall ~ I myself had a serious fall several years ago and I am far from elderly!

It's not the time to be blaming this poor family and as to your use of the word 'neglect' I think you are very, very, very wrong

Please don’t judge. My teenage child with ASD (much younger emotional and functioning age) bolted from the car in the midst of a meltdown last night. It was so quick and so unexpected that it was 3 streets before I caught up. I have never felt panic like it.

I can’t imagine the hell that family are going through. They need our love and support. Not our judgement.

I have read Facebook books, news and here. Doesn’t mean I treat it all as gospel

There’s some really embarrassing posts on this thread.

Really hope the little one is found. My worry is the water. They were sure Nicola Bulley wasn’t in that water, until they found her in it.

The comments on here are genuinely astonishing. The sheer lack of critical thinking, reading comprehension and basic common sense being displayed so confidently is quite something.

My theory on why people come up with such awful judgement in the face of tragedies like this is they want to convince themselves this could never happen to them. Unfortunately accidents happen and none of us are immune to them.
