People are being ridiculous. On a Tuesday afternoon at 3pm in sleepy Suffolk, the chances of someone coming across him within minutes and snatching him are so incredibly low its unreal.

Its more likely the poor boy got scared and hid somewhere and has got lost.

Its also entirely possible hes seen the lights/masses of people/huge amount of activity around and got scared and hid again.

I'm sorry but this missing child story doesn't make sense to me. Kids don't run off / disappear that quickly or easily. They don't tend to go far either. I hope he's found but there's definitely something 'off' about the whole thing. A retired policewoman friend agrees with me.

Ok so you and your retired policewoman friend can go and offer your services to Suffolk police force to point them in the right direction of what’s actually going on then.

If you’re not going to do that, then shut the fuck up.

lilacpetals · Today 11:49

I'm local, we live about 20 minutes away went out to search last night and planning to go again soon. I don't think people realise this is a very small village and there was likely no one around when he went missing. I do think someone needs to take responsibility. Time and time again, we are learning on the news of autistic children going missing from people caring for them who are not the parents. There was one that went missing from a childminder earlier this year, she eloped and went into a pond. Another one at a holiday club. How many more times does this need to happen? When my autistic son was at nursery and went on an outing, he was attatched to an adult at all times with hand straps. If we go out to London I still use them.

I'm not wonderdul, my family is not wonderful. We have problems like everyone else. But I strongly believe in parental responsability of care and responsibiiity for young children, specially with disabled munchkins.

I belive strongly in child safety, specially disabled ones with speech and hearing options. So yes, you can mock me but hopefully you won't ever lose a disabled 3 your in your care.

Edited

Is English your first language?

You can be the best parent and have something awful like this happen to you. People have accidents, get distracted, have medical episodes etc. None of us are completely immune to these situations.

Gosh you are special, as most parents couldn't give a shit about that stuff

That grandparent is probably utterly heartbroken. Either spending time or providing childcare for his grandson and the unthinkable happens.

How would you like him held accountable? A prison sentence?

What do you mean someone needs to take responsibility? Sometimes shit things just happen. The grandfather fell over. It’s just shit.

LabubuTERF · Today 11:54

Can we leave the “who’s responsible?!?” posts and conspiracy theories until after Noah is found? They offer nothing to the discussion and search at this vital stage.

Oh come on most people I know have lost sight of a child for a few moments/had one bolt and disappear - it can happen very easily. In most cases they are found very soon either by the parent or thanks to the public generally being aware and helpful. I've twice rounded up a lost child in a big supermarket/shopping centre and contacted security to find their parents, who in both cases were frantic. 2yo I knew bolted out of the house - parents didn't know he could open the door - and was found 20 mins later having run a surprising distance. Lost child announcements and precautions are common at festivals etc. Kids bolt or wander off, that's why playgrounds tend to have fences around them.

Really hoping for a happy outcome in this case, that poor family.

I don’t disagree it’s more likely but I do think there is a possibility he could have been taken. Some people are opportunists unfortunately. Similar happened to Sarah Payne IIRC.

It’s not neglect at all. Be quiet. You don’t even know that the grandad is elderly, he could be in his 40’s!

Healthyalltheway · Today 11:58

it happens so fast and so quickly. I remember when my ( now adhd) diagnosed toddler just 'disappeared' when I turned my back, bent down and looked for his water bottle in the stroller. We were in Kensington gardens, in the huge playground, I felt sick - panicking, calling his name - no one helped !!! I thought I would have to call the police and his father and explain how I had lost him - it was horrendous. 3 -4 min later I found him playing in a sandpit. 25 years later, it still haunts me. It can, and does, happen to the best of us. - don't judge until all the facts are in.

Can you control what you trip up on? Anyone not going through this should feel sympathy not judgement.
