Who were these parents and how were they chosen to participate in the survey?
How many people were included in the study?
How many of them responded, and how many did not?
What age range were they, and what demographic?
Were they male or female, how many of each responded to the question, and how is the 62% split between male/female?
How were the questions actually worded?
For what reason did they smack their children?
Was it regular, or a one-off event?
And that's just for starters. You can make any dataset prove what you want it to prove. Lies, damned lies and statistics - who said that?
