Hi all. Due to the volume of reports we're receiving about this and similar threads, we feel the need to step in.
We know political threads can be passionate, and people are allowed to disagree sometimes very strongly, but we need everyone to keep that disagreement about the issue, rather than turning it into something personal.
Some of the behaviour we've seen on these threads is pretty unpleasant and can feel like rounding on people because their views don't align. With this in mind, and for the sake of civil discussion on polarised topics, please don’t tag someone merely to make a point about how often they post, when they joined Mumsnet or what you assume their motives are. Don’t comb through someone’s posting history, speculate about their identity or activity elsewhere, or use AI to analyse their posts. And please don’t keep pressing someone to reply, or treat a lack of response as proof that they have no answer.
If you think a post breaks Talk guidelines, report it and let us look at it. Personal attacks, troll-hunting, goading and attempts to turn a thread against one person aren’t okay whatever the topic.
We will take action where posts cross the line, and we may take further action where we see a repeated pattern of targeting or provoking other users.
Please help us keep these threads lively and challenging without making them hostile.
