Influx of far-right posters

Why has the site suddenly had an influx of far-right posters? Almost overnight.

Is this a concerted campaign by the black shirts from Dover, Reform or Tommy ten names to infiltrate women's SM?

It used to be a left wing view that bringing in loads of immigrants was bad as it was reducing the working class people access to jobs and getting up the wage/career ladder, and a right wing position to bring in as many people they could pay cheap wages to, to keep their business profits high.

Where it chamged is anyone's guess.

The you'll have to excuse me. Because having been referred to as 'it' on this thread was quite a thing. Reminiscent as it is of the abusers play book. Thank you for acknowledging my posts. I feel the same about many of yours and focus on the respect for you I have for that rather than the issues on which we disagree.

This thread has digressed a bit.

Is there an influx of far right posters in Mumsnet? I would say no. The centre of opinion on multiple issues has simply shifted towards the right.

My own observation is that the country seems to be moving rightwards on social issues, but leftwards on economics.

When I started the thread, @Notsurewhattodonowattheend, there was a rash of dodgy sounding, new posters, making inflammatory far-right discriminatory statements. It seems to have died down again now.

I think it was linked to the men in black last weekend. Not sure how, what or why but...

I don't disagree with you last paragraph, most voters want more public spending- they just don't want to pay for it. Previously this was funded by increasing Government debt.

However that game is rapidly coming to an end. If Labour increase taxes they will just slow the economic growth further (the employer NI rise cost growth).

The high levels of government debt now mean that bond yields are at their highest since 2008.

The UK annual borrowing is £130 billion per year. For 2025 / 26 year the government spent £109 billion on debt interest payments.

So the Government is effectively borrowing more money just to pay the interest on the existing debt.

This is not sustainable and interest payments are set to go higher still now we have record bond yield rates.

So whether Labour like or not soon they will be forced to cut spending and move economically further to the right.

Agree completely. Voters keep getting what they want, not what they need.

Voters don’t get what they want -they want immigration controlled and have done for 20 years - it was why we brexited- and no Gov will fix it
instead 100,000s are added to the population annually , competing for jobs for young people and housing and healthcare - Burnham won’t last long either unless he fixes this

I was referring to the voodoo economics we see all parties practice, not immigration.

But it does link in. Letting in loads of extra people makes it easier to balance the budget in the short run due to the way the Treasury calculates things. It is unsustainable in the long term, but it allows politicians to keep borrowing more without cutting or raising taxes in the near term. Politicians make the calculation that we want spending without paying for it more than we want to control our borders.

Left wing politics is the politics of envy. The right sees ambition, the left sees greed. The right sees success, the left sees exploitation.

Yes it's why they won't raise the tax thresholds because whilst it would help every single person on a lower wage literally counting the pennies they feel it would benefit the rich more

Charlie Kirk wasn't known because of his meritocracy philosophy. He wasn't about that at all. He was a right wing agitator who regularly diminished people because they were not white or heterosexual or male.

He didn't believe in merit, he believed other people were lesser due to skin colour or sex or disability.

People voted in Call Me Dave mostly because he lied and said Europe was the worst thing to happen to this country. Only to then campaign to remain when PM after trying to dodge the referendum he promised.

Almost all these politicians are liars and regulars to the WEF.

this is why Italy, Germany and many other countries are looking to parties that are campaigning so heavily to curb illegal immigration as the traditional parties have never been able to do so.

I have no idea what Charlie Kirk exhibited to Candace Owens. All I know about her is that she's a far right conspiracy theorist and she has beef with CK's widow.

I dont know that much about him, or Owens. But I do know he said when he saw a pilot who was black, he worried they weren't qualified. Based on the colour of their skin!

Which is utterly ridiculous. Skin colour has zero impact on pilot performance. Concerns around comptence based on skin colour is racism, not merit.🤷‍♀️

Given that you hadn't heard of him 24 hours ago, I'll take your opinion on what he was and wasn't known for with a pinch of salt.
